The sad thing is that if his brain was wired correctly he could have been one of the best.

This Official Club Video from the day before Harry's comment, confirms the Manager repeatedly lies to the media and supporters about Adel Taraabt. He should play him, he might win us games which we aren't doing despite a very good effort yesterday. I thought Fer did well 1st half, but Adel reasonably fit would have put that shot away, and would have done more IMO to win us that.

I can nutmeg people in a training game, I can't however play a premier league game. There's a big difference. I am not Harry's biggest fan, but I am going with him on this one. It's sad that a player with the quality of Taarabt can't get into shape. We're in the Premier league, what bigger platform does he want?

I can't! Adel did well he came on as Sub last game at Hammers and gave them more trouble than anyone else did all of that game, not saying much I know. But he managed that 20/30 minutes, and looked in much better shape in that video from Friday- less heavy - than he did at Hammers..

NO HE DIDN'T

No he didn't do well when he came on...he had two runs, gave the ball away easily a couple of times and then berated (Charlie?) for having a shot instead of passing to him.
We were a beaten team then....I would have looked good at that point

He did not do anything fantastic and he only had about 23 min on the pitch
Get a life...he is not the answer
He will also destroy the spirit we have in the team

again, i have nutmeged Paul Merson in training but it doesnt mean i could last 90 mins with arsenal.
the adel debate is all but over now. Everyone can see he doesnt care, doesnt want to play for us and cant hack it at Prem level.

he's had 5 diffrent managers in the past 3 years and he's sitting in our reserve team right now. What does that tell you? even COLIN criticised him in his book. Not sure what it will take to get his disciples to see him for what he is, but one thing is for sure. Every time he is defended your credibility takes a sharp nose dive!

he's skilled - yes, but will never make it at pro level as long as he has a hole in his arse. just hasnt got it mentally. such a f-ing waste of a talent. id rather we put effort into Yun and traore. at least they will try and may appreciate the privillaged position they have. Yun has waited patienly on the sideline and when given his chance, he grabbed it and delivered.
Ill be suprised if AT is still a pro footballer in 4 years time

Again..what has he done for us in the past 3 years whilst picking up 3 times the average british wage...EVERY WEEK..! Disgrace!

I really can't get my head around this, we are now 3 months into the season and he is still supposedly unfit....sounds to me that both sides are culpable, the club fitness staff for not making sure that he is putting in the hard yards to get fit and Taarabt himself for not being arsedto actually get fit......

What i do know is that yesterday inthe 2nd half (I didn't see the 1st half) we needed someone like him or Krancjar to operate in the space as a ball player, alot of the time we just played lond balls forward to OBZ in the hope he would hold it up to bring the midfielders into play. If either Adel or Nico were on the pitch we could have move the ball around and run at their back 4 causing them even more problems and occupying Gerrard more defensively than allowing him to ping balls to all corners.....

I could not agree more with that Beth

I thought I was the only one who saw him lose the ball on numerous occasions

Harry really shouldn't have reacted in the way he did.

Adel shouldn't be taking the clubs money if he isn't prepared to get fit enough to play or play in the way the manager requires.

Those who feel he is being blocked from playing because he has upset Harry and it's a personal issue are deluding themselves, IMHO. No offence meant...

Can we discuss the team that actually did play, now?

Ta!

I'm not disagreeing with you Beth, Taarabt is done at QPR, and probably ought to have gone 2 years ago. Nonetheless, I think Harry should have said what he said about Adel to Adel himself as opposed to a press conference. Such a shame though, were we once not looking at £8m from PSG for him. I suspect we'll struggle to get an offer for a quarter of that now.

Tarrabt has unfortunately always been only about Tarrabt.
I'm of no doubt that Arry has been useless in the man management Dept. but A.T has only made the situation worse.
Let's get this right - Arry on this occasion is right to lambast in public - it is a sin for a professional footballer to be overweight in this day and age and on this type of money. He's not 3 stones overweight but he is overweight, probably by at least a stone.

Has still shown some of the best pieces of skill that I have seen in an Hoops shirt but now it's time to finally move on

I do not think that Arry is that two-faced, Arry has said it.....he has told us many times before he doesn't train right, he misses training, he does the tricks but he doesn't do the gym work
You cannot imagine that this has not all been said...are they all wandering around Harlington thinking " I wonder why Taarbs isn't playing...it is a mystery"
And Arry accidentally lets the beans out of the bag at a press conference, that he is overweight and will not eat or train right..

...Arry should not have said that to camera, with the ferocity he did, but he was upset at the match, he was upset with the result....and as usual the "where was Taarb" question comes up....no-one asks where is SWP do they???

the only comment I have to make still...

What would the team spirit be ....if Arry played a passenger in the team yesterday.
Everyone one of them...the slow Dunne, the Col-hated Phillips, the slightly lost Traore, the underfunctioning Fer...everyone of them tried 110% as to their own abilities.
I will not fault one of them on "trying"....Fer was "trying" to win the match when he took that free kick... STUPID IDIOT...but he was trying

I am sorry about this rant...I wish Taarb would go...so that we could remember the season he did give a @@@@, and forget the three he didn't

Whilst I totally agree that should the accusations be true then he should not play (not a lover nor hater of Tarby) it just does not sit right with me as this is the same Manager who continuously played an unfit over weight Kranjar last season.

I'm a touch surprised that a lot seem to think that Arry's words are gospel after one very good performance.

We need a squad for this season and we've probably alienated one of the 25. Yes he is a prima donna but, if we ever want to get anything from him then we need to deal with that (the old "some need a boot up the backside and some need an arm around the shoulder).

The excellent BZ still can't do 90 minutes but that's accepted.

The rest of the team were unfit as of a fortnight ago - if the rest of the team can get that sharp in 14 days then set the challenge to Adel (or was Harold telling porkies back then???).

He looked switched on for West Ham - tried to introduce some impetus and was trying to make things happen quickly. Dismissing that on the basis that the rest of team had given up is more of a problem for the rest of the team - giving up with a two goal deficit is criminal, giving up at all is offensive - we showed that we can get a couple in a short space of time against Liverpool and yet give up with 30 minutes to go against West Ham?

He's not a starter at the moment but he's worth a place on the bench because he can make a difference. He might not but even Vargas has played a few without putting dozens away.

Oh, and if Arry finds his wages so criminal, then, here's a crazy, out there, idea - why not just fine him for missing training?

HR did well yesterday for team and motivation but he's inconsistent with his words when he's in control, let alone when he's having a meltdown.

It's an odd one and there is almost certainly more than meets the eye to it.

At the end of the day if the club thinks and can prove that he is not looking after himself and is not giving all to the club then they could have grounds to stop paying him. When you sign any contract to a football club you have to agree to try your best and give your all to the team and play at the best of your ability.

If the club can prove otherwise than Taarabt could be in breach of his contract.

I have always thought that on his day he is up there with the best footballers in the league especially running with the ball and being creative. He can open doors that other can't. Unfortunately as seems to be the way with some people who possesses a tremendous talent he can also be a complete bellend and unable to apply the talent. Frustrating for you guys as I think all of you know how good he CAN/COULD be.

As for Harry hanging him out to dry I don't entirely agree with it but Maybe Adel needs that public shaming to get his act together. As a neutral I would love to see him get it together as he is quite a player.

What spirit in the team Beth? There is no spirit in this team at the moment. Just watched the full 90 minutes from yesterday … The only thing that can credit from that is the LR crowd much better.

Matt is 100% if and remember it's a IF things any player is not doing … then fine him and keep the matter in-house

All this has done is make yet another headline for a true media whore.

I have seriously had it with Harold … Furious in fact.

Yesterday was all about Liverpool playing poorly IMO yes there were chances but to me it looks like naive football all round like a kids match

The reactions on here are again over reactions.

How Fer missed that open goal i can't get around as for Balotelli getting slated here and there … Complete rubbish he made six runs i saw that our defence didn't even know where he was … that takes a class player and one set of complete planks for defenders.

I am furious having watched this match for the first time … it was better but no where near the required standard and who milks it all …Harold.

I am 100% with Flyer on this now and support him not attending matches … I can now understand it

We now have to really thrash Villa

Arrys words are never gospel to me but if think it properly he has got a point in this latest "taarabtgate" ....Now he should fine this fatty moroccan for that and stop going public with it anymore.

What you're been drinkin...? We fight and tackled in that match probably more than in all matches before it. Of course pool was not on their usual level (last seasons) ,but hey its take two to tango! Could it be that just a bit we might made them look so bad????) Is there a little chance for that? IMO biggest problem is how we maintain that passion from yesterday?? Some peoples seem to forget that Liverpool was extreamly lucky because they just keep on searching for the mistakes we made .......We played our best match of the season with a bizarre outcome. Of course we made some mistakes but in a normal football match all of the mistakes dont lead automatically to bizarre own goals.
