Harry Redknapp has launched an astonishing attack on Adel Taarabt.

The QPR manager has publicly criticised Taarabt on a number of occasions and gave his most damning assessment of him yet after the 3-2 defeat against Liverpool.

Taarabt was left out of the matchday squad for the game, with Redknapp once again indicating that the Moroccan is unfit and refusing to train properly.

Redknapp said: “He’s not fit to play football. He played in a reserve game and I could have run about more than he did.

“I pick people who want to train and want to come in every day and work and play for a good club like QPR. When he starts doing that – whether he can do it – he’ll get a game.

“I can’t keep protecting people. What am I supposed to say, ‘keep getting your £60,000 or £70,000 a week and don’t train’?”

Can this day get any worse?

 

Just heard the interview on SSN. Furious is no overstatement. If Adel has achieved anything he has certainly woken Harry from his slumber.

 

At the same time, I really wish we had a manager who would deal with these things behind closed doors.

 

I agree in principle. But with all the Adel adulation (I'm guilty myself) I understand Harry's need to defend his decission not to play him.

 

You might be on to a very good point there mate.

 

This with knobs on.

But lets not have a go at the idle f***ker who doesn't want to play for us, won't play for us and sticks two fingers up at the other players and supporters of the club.

Let's turn it into a "Have a go at Harry" thread.

 

Hard to disagree with Redknapp here

After seeing those players run their socks off out there and give it everything it makes you sick to your stomach if Taarabt is half arsing it in training and making no real effort to get back in the side.

 

Harry was frustrated as hell and took it out on an easy target. Glad he was furious.

He goes in record saying all his players aren't fit just two weeks ago

Taarabt as is would still worry most teams in the league

Why not get him on for 30 minutes

He has just taken a clear opportunity here yet again

He has made Adel an escape goat again

It's not rocket science

 

Adel would have come on today and most probably lose possession like he always inevitably does.

Karl Henry doesn't have a tenth of Taarabt's natural ability but I'd pick him ahead of him every time because he'll give it everything.

With Vargas in this kind of form its not even worth discussing Taarabt.

 

And yet, he was fit enough to be included in the squad two weeks ago & even be brought on.

Has he really deteriorated that much since the West Ham game?

I'm not opposed to the comments from HR today, but it does beg the question of why he has previously included him.

 

Taarabt's attitude towards the club and fans stinks, why defend a waster who pockets 60-70k a week for not trying? Should be at conference side at best.

 

Harry took his frustration out on the screen behind him little did he know Sooty & Sweep were under his desk having a party

 

Finally some passion from HR. hard to disagree with him here as well.

It's hard to know whether Harry is telling the truth or not.
But if he is then Taarabt simply can't be picked and needs to sort himself out!

 

It just might finally sink in with Adel that his time is up and if he wants out he better sort his weight/fitness out cos come January no one will won't him If he hasn't

 

When Taarabt came on against West Ham he looked like the only player that gave a ****.

 

Which is why I'm not sure what to believe.
