Well done on yesterday lads.

You guys continue to be a breath of fresh air to the prem in terms of how you play.. and also in terms of how the fans conduct themselves.

That Pelle looks some player too.

All the best for the rest of the season and hope you nail a European place.

Your style is quite suited to the continent I feel.
 
Cheers ACS, that's very gracious of you. Saints fans have a bit of history with Gus which has nothing to do with Sunderland. When he was with Brighton in our League One days he famously described Southampton as being "like Dagenham and Redbridge plus Rickie Lambert". So yesterday was very satisfying as you can imagine! As for your team, we were all hoping we could finally break the hoodoo that the Black Cats have had over us since we got back to the Prem, but nobody imagined a scoreline remotely like that. The irony is, for the first 20 minutes you were on top, and we were struggling. I think Vergini's OG kind of knocked the stuffing out of you.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of the season, and remember, you're still above the Magpies!

I'm actually a Magpie myself mate so I equally enjoyed yesterdays results... it's kinda the law up here. :)
To be fair to Gus he didn't make any excuses yesterday he just told it how it was and for that he has to take credit I feel.
If it had been Pardew on the end of a hammering the tea lady would have been blamed.

Whoops! Sorry mate, should have checked. My daughter's boyfriend who lives with us is a Magpie, not sure which he was happier about yesterday, you lot winning or us destroying the Mackems!
