Hi lads Newcastle fan here. Just wondering what your thoughts are on HBA so far? My favourite player here by a distance since the Robert/Shearer/Bellamy side of over a decade ago, was gutted to see him leave. I know he hasn't had too many minutes but nice to see him get his first start today.

Also good to see Harps getting some game time.

Boydy should have had that.
I cant help but think that his career is on a downward spiral, I mean going to Burnley. feel sorry for him

Hasn't really played enough to get a proper look at him. Today was the wrong type of game for him based on the way we played. He worked hard, but never got a chance to show much creative spark.

We've barely seen him really, just a few cameos until today and having got hs first start, he did very little with it.

He's obviously very talented, I've seen him being unplayable in some games for you lot, but we've yet to see it.

Harper was excellent today, until he got injured.

Anyone going to defend Jakupovic?

MOTD made him look as not-good-enough-for-the-Prem as he is.

I will.

He made some terrific saves today and we could have easily lost if he didn't make them.

IMO those 'terrific' saves would've been made just as well by McGregor and Harper. Jak made some right flaps today too that could've cost us.

I fear our next few games with him at the back, he's piss poor for this level.

Sounds like the anti-HBA to me <laugh>

He's always been better for us coming off the right hand side where he can get isolated 1 on 1 with a full back, I personally don't think he flourishes as much in a central, crowded area. Harps has always been a solid premier league goalkeeper he's been unlucky in who he's been stuck behind at Newcastle.
