I'm now "pumped", by the way. One question. What formation will Poyet play? The usual 10-0-0 Attacking 9-1-0 Or will he go balls out for victory with 9-0-1? Vin
I had read he'd been a dancer. I think good coordination is needed in both dancing and football...it's not surprising that sportsmen and women do well on Strictly.
It is one of a growing list of blocked sites here now. BBC has been blocked for almost a week, I think over the reporting on what is happening in Hong Kong.
Used to live in Pompey for three years. Its a lovely part of the world, along the Solent, the isle of wight, hauling island, the south downs etc.
The calculations made by Dr Henry Stott, Dr Mark Latham and Dr Kostas Paraschakis show that Southampton are on course to finish on 61 points. That is their expected number. At the beginning of the season we were expecting them to finish on 52 points, and this nine-point gain is bigger than any other club. In other words, Southampton are doing quite a bit better even than we expected them to on the basis of last year’s campaign and before they sold anyone. At the beginning of the season, Southampton had a 3 per cent chance of a top-four finish and a 7 per cent chance of a top-five finish. After all those sales, they have a (striking) 28 per cent chance of a Champions League slot and a 45 per cent chance of finishing in the top five. Above lifted from Saintsweb, originally lifted from The Times Now I don't necessarily think we will finish in top 5, but I am very pleased that we are playing so well that it is not out of the question. Now that is progress.
I nearly drowned off that God-forsaken place last weekend. Not joking either. In other news, Fink Tank in The a Times has us at 45% (currently) to finish in a top 5 place! 28% in CL place (up from 9% last season) No ambition....
Everyone went for a home win on Soccer Saturday, though Matt thought it might be a draw, but he couldn't get his pen to write that down The panellists also praised Ronald Koeman, especially his attitude and air of authority. One remarked when he was abroad a few years back, he heard Koeman was being considered for the Barcelona job. Merson said none of the lower clubs would go to SMS and try and play open football...Saints would have to break them down...he added that that was a compliment to us.
