Alright guys, norwich fan in peace! http://www.htafc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10312~2384434,00.html Now im not saying that we are in for him and we are going to sign him but if you look at the original statements released from there chairmen he clearly states he wants to be playing "At the highest level, from beginning of next season" and if a "Premier League Club made the right offer" they would consider it. Now im not being funny but you are being linked with every player under the sun atm so i wouldnt expect him to move to you 1) Your not at the highest level and 2) your not a premier league club putting in a bid!
I would agree with all of the above and chances are we wont sign him for those reasons. However never under estimate the power of money in football and in that regard we will win in spades currently. And as a small side note, if he came to us then he would move with Lee Peltier at the same time – which would make settling in a lot easier. A small point but no insignificant. Good luck next season though - i went to UEA, so spent 3 years in Norwich and have a soft spot for em ever since!
I know, money talks most of the time, I know about being friends with peltier could help but he now has a good buddy at norwich in James vaughan. With everything taken into account I would more expect him to be signing for you guys before us which is.a shame cos I really rate him along with alot of other norwich fans.
The rumour on Foxestalk is that he handed in a transfer request on Wednesday when he heard we were interested. Make of that what you will, I hope he signs for us.
At the end of the day regardless of whether the chairman says 'if a Premier League clubs comes in for him' they will accept an offer from any club that meets their valuation.
Don't know much about him other than he's highly rated. Did he break his leg this season or something? If Sven's interested I trust him.
Yes he broke his leg and has been out for 6 months. He isn't fit enough to start pre season. He is qualiteh
If i remember correctly he used to play for Stockport, none of their players impressed me the year we was in league 1. Apart from that goal from Chris O'Grady
Faz knows him inside out. Seems to have a huge influence with Sven. Not a bad thing in some respects. Gives us a view of lower leagues, and also continental connections.
Got to trust Faz, he is a massive influence I believe, he knows football inside out and has been around a long time. I think this is probably the best signing Sven has made?
he has handed in a transfer request.....then again, if a better job is dangled in front of ANY manager they will take it .....those who don't have no ambition... those who stay loyal then get sacked 6 months later....its a very short career....chairman sell players when the price is right....etc.... come my son...sven has summoned you...to play in the championship dream team..............lets make history together...........
routledge...who knows...im only the supreme being.....i suspect its dead...but if QPR lose adel taarabt...(why warnock nearly quit) i suspect he will go there.. i shall pray for him..........
Reported in the Mercury that we have lodged a bid 'in the region of £1.7m for NATHAN Pilkington. May be Anthony's younger brother.
