Just reading that SKP is out of contract.
I don't know what his plans are but I'd love to see him join our back room staff.

I'm sure his playing days in the top flight are over, though I'd imagine Big Niall having a bit of a soft spot for him.

I dont think he would move back up here tbh, thats the main reason WBA got him and not us a few years back. and isnt he doing matches for SKY now, or he was the back end of last season, not sure if he will still be doing them next season or not.

I thought he was going back to Watford. Mind you that could've been in the either the Daily Mail or Daily Mirror.

I'm sure there was talk yesterday about him going to Huddersfield Town to join the Masters Sunderland War Chest that was starting to take shape down there.

As an out and out striking coach he'd be superb. One of the best, if not THE best strikers of the ball I have ever seen in a Sunderland shirt and lets not forget, the ONLY Englishman to win the European Golden Boot AND in a Sunderland shirt at the time too.

I imagine young Noble, Wickham and Welbeck (if he comes back) would benefit hugely from his input.

It wont happen of course but its nice to hope.

Think he'll sign for a midlands club in the championship and failing that league one. He'd score bucket loads in the spl and would be a good signing for either of the old firm, could more than fill kenny millers boots.

Love it how he still refers SAFC as "we" or "us"

That's why I think one day he'll be back. Especially while Quinny is chairman.
