......... to bring in more poor players. Sick of hearing about 7 mill offers for Jerome and 4 mill offers for Cole. They are both useless in my opinion and would not enhance our squad in any way. I've come to the conclusion that Mr P doesn't have a clue when it comes to the transfer market and considering the huge sums of money involved I think Coates would be better off bringing in a specialist. Until the ink drys on the paper i won't berate Pulis too much unless it's paper talk tosh, but I'm not overly happy so far with the players we are being linked with. Would prefer to see some fresh up and coming talent not some relegated has beens!
i second that Waddo, im also sick of hearing about how Pulis has changed the careers of a few footballers, brought them back to their best. We are a premier league football club, not a rehab centre for players with bad attitudes and **** records, ever get the feeling TP's trying to prove something??
I'll wait until we've actually signed someone **** before I start moaning about our manager being ****.
It's not just about the signing or non signing of players though I will suggest that indulges in Onanism
Potterpistol you are behind the times youth. Try Sonko, Diao, Sidibe, Tonge, Soares, Davies to name but a few of Pulis's **** signings!!
Try............... Huth,Shawcross,Pennant,Etherington,Jones,Walters & Begovic.........does not seem so bad now does it waddo?
Jones is only ****e in the winter(sunderland fans told us that), thats why we need cole, he scores in the winter
You do realise the players people are talking about who have been through "rehab" are two of the best players we've had for almost 30 years? (Etherington and Pennant)
Diao and Sidibie have both played their part in helping get where we are, Sonko and dunno about Tonge but Soares looked like he could have been useful when we got him, and like Mighty Huth said, he's signed some brilliant players too, probably more good uns than **** in my book.
Yes the gamble did pay off with them both, but my point is just because it worked with Matty and Jermaine, doesn't mean every player whos stock has gone down can be turned back into a quality player.
I'd much rather two quality players and two failed gambles out on loan than no quality players and no failed gambles. KTF!
