My son is 5 and plays at a football training camp.

I keep seeing 5/6 year olds throwing themselves to the floor and feigning injury.
I have to say I find that worrying as that has to be learned behaviour from watching the pro's doing it. What is our sport in this country going to be like if they are doing it at that age.

There are major issues with junior football in this country. I watched a Sunday league game last weekend and saw one boy boot and trip and bully every player going near him and bragging about it. It was awful to watch and the referee - some 16 year old nervous wreck - daren't do anything about stopping it.

I have seen a few kids games and to be honest its not so much the kids its the parents shouting abuse from the sidelines that is a disgrace, not so much blasphemies but very little encouragement, mostly scorn.

A well run set-up should not tolerate any of this stuff; somebody needs to get a grip.

TBH there are a lot of kids to watch. I just find it alarming that a 5/6 year old acts like he has a broken leg in what is in essence a kick about.

I see a lot of kids football seeing as I run the team in one of Hull's Primary Schools and haven't seen much of parents being the problem at matches. Although Sunday League could be very different to school competitions as the level of safeguarding of the children is much much higher in school comps.

England might finally win the WC again in 2034 then......
