    I wish it was some other team than City we are playing after the break because the majority of times the break is bad news for us, we lose.

    Best to lose one of our toughest games of the season than one that would be considered easier then, eh?

    I couldn't help but notice last Friday's Standard compared our record under Poch this season to Ramos in 2008-9. Better win a couple more to knock that **** on the head, eh?

    what...did they ignore the fact that under Ramos we;
    lost 6 drew 2 and won none of our first 8 prem matches matches ...Boro (L) Sunderland (L) Chelsea (D) Villa (L) Pompey (L) Wigan (D) Hull (L) Stoke (L) giving us 2 pts, scoring 5 goals...we also played 1 league cup match and 3 uefa matches ... we won 2, lost 1 and drew 1 of these scoring 5 goals.
    in the 13 matches we kept 1 clean sheet; scored a total of 10 goals; conceded 18 goals; won 2 matches drew 3 and lost 8

    while under poch we;
    lost 2 drew 2 and won 3 of our first 7 matches... giving us 11 points scoring 9
    we have played 1 league cup game and 4 uefa matches...we have won 3 drawn 2 and lost none, scoring 9 conceding 3 making a total of;
    played 12 won 6 drawn 4 lost 2 ... 5 clean sheets, scoring 18 goals and conceding 10

    yep ... i can see the similarities there... poch out!

    They opened the preview for the game saying that, if we lost on Sunday, Poch would've equaled Ramos' home form from 2008-9.

    Just another example of that irritating habit that all football coverage has these days: the narrative.

    Les Ferdinand is back in football as the "Head of football Operations" at QPR.

    QPR seem to be portraying this as a link between the playing side and the board, so in other words, a director of football type of role. Harry seems to be making the right noises at the moment about this, but I suspect he is talking through gritted teeth and this is the beginning of the end of his time at Loftus Road.

    Another job for Sherwood, perhaps? I'd have thought that Pulis would've been an absolute banker after his heroics with Palace last season, though.

    Possibly so, but where does all this leave Glenn Hoddle ? I love Tony Fernandes passion for his club, but he does make some mystifying decisions at times. I'm a bit dubious about Les, he never really seems to know what he wants to do with his time. When he was at Spurs, he never seemed to be able to decide if he wanted to be involved all the time or just part of the time.

    Good question. Assistant Manager to Tim Sherwood, possibly? Maybe just remaining as Head Coach or whatever his current title is?
    Might be good for Sherwood to have someone alongside him with significant experience. You'd assume that Redknapp's coaching staff will follow him if he goes.

    Fernandes seems to act like a fan, which can be good in some ways but pretty bad in others. He may need to be less rash and plan for the long-term, in my opinion.
    Ferdinand might want to make a decision about his future, as he seems to try various things without settling on any of them. Commentary, coaching and now this new role?
    Perhaps none of them are exactly what he's looking for. Maybe he wants to be a manager, but feels he won't get a good opportunity?

    I have often wondered if Pulis could have done a job for us at Tottenham.I know for a fact he would have kicked our defenders up the backside and got them defending....could he have got our gallant band of deadbeat expensive forwards finally doing what we bought them for.

    I know,I have some crazy thoughts at times but could Pulis have done wonders for us........you see how desperate we Spurs fans are to see our team playing consistently well?

    You're not the only one, with a half decent budget and team, who knows what he could achieve.

    Sir Billy Nicholson would be turning in his grave at the mention of Pulis as a manger of our club. And quite rightly so. Pulis does a fine job at a lower level. Tottenham Hotspur is not at a lower level.

    We drew 1 home league match under ramos in 2008/09... nil nil with wigan...I was there for that turgid match...we also lost to sunderland, villa (was at that one) and hull (was at that one too)...and won none.
    Under poch, before sundays match we had won 1 at home... on what planet is that the same?
    Christ I wish I could be that **** at my job and still get paid
