Probably the only club in the country both willing and able to pay a big chunk of his wages, but I agree this seems madness to a key promotion contender

Has it been confirmed? I can only see a DM article on it
 
So that'd be probably the best left winger and best centre back we'll have let go to rivals. At this point I'd have rather we waited until January and tried to sell him overseas.

I would add, best winger "when fit" and best CB "when his head is right!" Both of which happened only rarely for us!

Quite true, although Pilks has been an ever-present for Cardiff so far I believe. With Bassong I guess it's a catch-22 as he's either in our U21's pulling ~£30k a week out of the club, or he gets loaned out somewhere where he's going to be working against us.

To be fair, you could look at it and say Watford are a club we've taken three points from, he won't play against us in the rematch, so he might actually help Watford take points from our rivals... It will only be a problem if he helps them threaten our top two berth (which is admittedly plausible), but then we could always be arseholes and recall him!
 
As an Ipswich fan I'm gutted you've loaned him out, having a big time idiot like that at your club will do nothing for morale etc.

You're top already and don't need clowns like that disrupting stuff.
 
If Watford sort out their defence they will be challenging for top 2 spots with Bassong they will probably achieve it.
 
Of course Bassong might disrupt the Watford team and do us a favour.

Who was our best winger when fit, that went ? Pilks !!!

I watched pilkington against Blackpool and he was awful. Had no impact on the game whatsoever. He is another Hooper. People really rate him but I've rarely seen it.

Pilks are Bassong were brilliant in Hughton's first season, which made it all the more hard to take when it fell apart the following year!
