He really makes some interesting observation, and most of them obvious imho. I doubt if AW can take the club further forward than he already has. Personally, I have decided not to attend any more games until he goes.

Seems like people have missed the irony of "he's not telling us anything new," which can also be translated "look at these issues which haven't been addressed." The number of points taken at the top teams over the last 5 years are a prime example of the limitations of Arsenal, yet one which fans have come to accept and now simply say "yeah we know" rather than seeking for change or at the very least reasons why. Arsenal fans - settling for mediocrity since 2005.

Not true from my perspective, so I don't know who exactly is 'settling for mediocrity' ? The major point I highlighted that I agree with Barton on is our woeful record against the big teams. I'll say it again, it's probably the one most frustrating thing that Wenger doesn't seem to be able to address, setting us up properly to face these teams. We absolutely have to take the opposition strength into account and play to nullify their threats rather than going gung ho to try and attack them. The irony is that we can play park the bus and counter football really well. We did it against Spurs at ****e hart lane last season when Rosicky scored early and we soaked up pressure for the rest of the game. Pretty ? no. Effective, yes. Maureen has been winning trophies with this brand of 19th century football for years now. We don't need to do it all the time, but Sunday will be a classic case of when to employ it.

He's a prick, but he's not saying anything untrue, more like stating what the majority of gooners have known for a good few years now.

The problems start and end with Wenger.

Barton is a prize bell end but even HE can see what some gooners here dont want to see.

    How sad.
