Kick it off is not able to make one of his brilliant match day threads so unless anyone else is working on one I will start a half arsed attempt . Just woke up so I'll get a cup of tea and fire up the laptop later to add content. More than happy to make it a team effort if anyone wants to chip in.

That game was a two-nil win for the Canaries with Clint Easton and Mark Rivers scoring the goals before half-time. Chris Sedgwick and Martin McIntosh were booked although later on referee Neale Barry admitted that he had booked the wrong player with Stewart Talbot later having a yellow added to his record. But Martin McIntosh was actually given a red card on sixty-six minutes. Of the twenty-four league games the pair have played in Rotherham have won eight to Norwich City's nine. League Games - Millers v Canaries League One 17.01.2004 Rotherham 4-4 Norwich 16.08.2003 Norwich 2-0 Rotherham 11.01.2003 Norwich 1-1 Rotherham 13.08.2002 Rotherham 1-1 Norwich 05.03.2002 Norwich 0-0 Rotherham 15.09.2001 Rotherham 1-1 Norwich Division Two (Old) 10.02.1968 Norwich 2-2 Rotherham 30.09.1967 Rotherham 1-3 Norwich 11.02.1967 Norwich 1-0 Rotherham 01.10.1966 Rotherham 2-1 Norwich 12.04.1966 Rotherham 2-1 Norwich 11.04.1966 Norwich 1-2 Rotherham 19.12.1964 Norwich 3-0 Rotherham 29.08.1964 Rotherham 4-0 Norwich 01.02.1964 Rotherham 4-0 Norwich 21.09.1963 Norwich 2-2 Rotherham 23.02.1963 Norwich 4-2 Rotherham 05.10.1962 Rotherham 0-3 Norwich 20.01.1962 Norwich 0-1 Rotherham 09.09.1961 Rotherham 3-1 Norwich 25.03.1961 Rotherham 0-2 Norwich 05.11.1960 Norwich 3-1 Rotherham As the record states we have not lost to Rotherham in 48 years so anything other than a victory today would be a disaster as a win would surely keep us top through the International break. We are the early pace setters in this division and it`s getting a bit piled up near the top so winning against the lower placed sides is vital if we have serious ambitions in regards to automatic promotion. The form of our two main strikers is a hot topic as both can be wasteful in front of goals especially Grabban with many calling for a change to the outdated 4 4 2 formation and a lone striker, below are the stats so far . Stats for Jerome .http://www.whoscored.com/Players/10737 Stats for Grabban. http://www.whoscored.com/Players/19736/ If we are to drop one of these two today it would be Grabban if we go by ratings he scored a total of 7.19 and Jerome scored a total of 7.53 but this doesn`t tell the whole story as Jerome joined us after a few games in . Another change could be made with our 2 holding midfielders in Johnson and Tettey with the possibility of replacing one with a more box to box midfielder like Howson or Vadis, so who should be the one to make way? Stats for Johnson http://www.whoscored.com/Players/12490/ Stats for Tettey http://www.whoscored.com/Players/9342/ Bradley Johnson narrowly edges Tettey 7.39 to 7.31 so he should be the lone holding midfielder if changes are made. There Is also the question of the left wing position with Wes arguably our best player creatively going head to head with Josh Murphy the young England teenager staking his claim also banging on the door is Kyle Lafferty as this is his best position too, despite the Northern Ireland player looking more suited as a center forward physically A 32 year old versus a 19 year old let`s get the stats so far, obviously this will not be conclusive as Murphy has not had much game time but Hoolahan is rated 7.19 and Lafferty 6.58 Stats for Hoolahan http://www.whoscored.com/Players/19541/ Stats for Lafferty http://www.whoscored.com/Players/13841/
Nice one 23, cheers. Let's hope you bring the same good luck that KIO's threads bring! Come on City! Let's bounce back strongly from last week
Good stuff 23, hope it brings more KIO luck than thai! Really need a good result today to maintain momentum and confidence going into the international break. Be nice to stay top too! Bah!
It`s not going to be a regular thing that`s for sure but as KIO told us with time to spare I thought I could wait for someone else to make one or just do a last minute cut n paste job. We seem to be much better away from home this season and have been excellent on the road so far but at home to Rotherham today we shouldn`t really be relying on luck with a full house and superior players . Charlton are a very well drilled team and they are masters at suffocating teams so I`m not so shocked that we lost midweek even though the ref let us down and we peppered the Charlton goal constantly but that is football I`m afraid. Adams will certainly not want to lose 2 home games in the space of a week so I`m sure rockets have been fired up certain players arses and we will come out of the blocks looking to get a goal or 2 early on. Having the ability to come back from losing positions is a great weapon but keeping a clean sheet would make progressing in this league less stressful. We can`t have it both ways we either set up all out attack and concede the odd goal or we do what we tried last season, I know which I prefer watching anyway.
Thanks Rick 2 sugars was the key If there are any Rotherham fans lurking then feel free to contribute we don`t bite and it makes for a better thread with both sets of fans posting.
Howson starts! Ruddy; Martin (c), Turner, Hooiveld, Olsson; Redmond, Howson, Johnson, Hoolahan; Jerome, Grabban. Rudd (GK), Whittaker, Lafferty, Josh Murphy, Tettey, O'Neil, Odjidja.
I am not sure what to make of that? I don't see it as a 4-3-1-2 with Redmond in the line up (unless he gets a free role) so it looks like 4-4-2, which is not proving to be popular or effective. If NA wants to start with 4-4-2, then Josh on the left with Redmond on the right would make more sense.
i really hope it's not a 4-4-2, even though that's how it's been laid out. would much prefer something like ruddy martin tina hooiveld olsson howson johnson hoolahan redmond jerome grabban but we'll see
I wouldn't be fussed about that formation. It gives pace out wide, gets Wes central and focuses the attack through Jerome. You'd hope Howson and Johnson would be able to cover the defence. I'd personally rather see Howson further forward but you'd probably have to drop Wes and bring in a more solid player like Vadis. I'm still expecting 4-4-2 though.
Interesting that Tettey has gone to the bench. He's probably been our most consistent performer so far this season.
Uh oh, looks like 4-4-2 again. Still hope we'll have enough, we can't miss as many chances again can we? Good to see Howson start, feels that little bit more positive. Bah!
Your guess is as good as mine if it works it http://www.ifeed2all.eu/watch/287490/1/watch-norwich-city-vs-rotherham-united.html
I'd be happy with TM's 4-2-1-3 as a more attacking 4-2-3-1, but in reality those two, along with the 4-3-3 and the 4-5-1 are variations according to who has the ball. I hope it's not the unbalanced 4-4-2 though.
As for feeds, this is also a possibility, though the non-betting site is marked 'Uncertain': http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=282401&part=sports
