Early on in the season I know, but just wanted to see who y'all favourites were for relegation based on early season form.

For me the current bottom three would be a good bet (QPR, Newcastle, Burnley).

Newcastle seem to be on the verge of sacking Pardew, so they may get a super duper new manager that can turn it around, and there is plenty of time left, but unless they sign at least 2 real good players in January, I can see them being down there come seasons end.

QPR seem to be on a hiding to nothing. Redknapp has plenty of PL experience, and they have funds to buy their way out it in January, but that didn't really work for them last time did it?

Burnley seem to be playing park the bus so far this season, with mixed results in each game. You cannot blame them for shutting up shop, but I think they are being a tad too fearful because they just wont score if they dont get the ball out of their own half.

I think these are the 3 to go down anyway....

QPR should stay up seeing as they have spent the most out of the relegation hopefuls... but Harry just does not seem passionate about managing QPR like he was at Pompey and Spids

My 3 are Toon, Sunderland and Burnley, but Hull could take Toons place

QPR spent a whole bunch last time they were in the PL too though!

  9. They spent it all on washed up has-beens last time though. Not heard much about who they've signed this time so I'm assuming they've gone about things in a better manner this time.

PS...although they do also have a £50m+ fine for breaking the Championship FFP rules hanging around their necks too <whistle>

In your defense, a guess is as good as any reasoned argument give about a third of the league are genuine candidates for the drop.

Aye, at this stage all we can make is an educated guess based on current form and the qualities of the squads in question.
Am hoping this thread will pick up momentum as the season progresses.

We have about as much hope as the Titanic.

Burnley and Sunderland the others for me.

So negative, no wonder Harry & co have no passion for the club.

A penny for Harry's thoughts when he looked up at the away support at Sunderland and saw 375 souls in the Rangers end for his first Prem game: http://www.thefootballforum.net/index.php?/topic/219225-away-support/

The way things are going the three relegated could be Liverpool, Man Utd, and Everton. At least our rivals are going down with us! <ok>

/ we'll beat Man United to win the Coca Cola Championship!

... you cut me deep Shrek... you cut me deep ...

Personally I think it is still too early to call ... certainly we can't afford to let teams off the hook like we did yesterday ... 96th minute equaliser admittedly but we could have been as high as seventh and with a big boost to confidence ahead of the international break ... but we are scoring lots of goals and I think that is good reason for optimism ... losing at West Ham on the other hand <whistle>
