If Carragher can question whether Liverpool need a new goalkeeper to replace Mingolet in a team that finished 2nd. Then surely we can question the same from McGregor.
im sure if chelsea feel they needed to replace eto and torres, then surely we can question hernandez and jelavic
I'm sorry but this is probably one of the dumbest things I have read on here, Jelavic & Hernandez have scored 5 goals between them this year! I hope this wasn't a serious answer!
McGregor has been an absolute shambles in goal! and I'm getting a little sick of him to be honest! but he will always remain in goal, when there are people who think he is irreplaceable! yes Jakupovic isn't at McGregor's level, but on current form McGregor is on the same level as some poor championship keepers!...you will disagree for whatever reason! but I think you are failing to realise just how bad McGregor has been (this season)
FFS I can't actually believe some of the stupid people on this thread or they're WUM'ing. McGregor has made couple of stupid mistakes and his kicking has been crap. To compard him to a Championship keeper is ridiculous. What about the penalty save against QPR or the save against West Ham? Jak is shocking and is no where near as good even if McGregor out form and Harper is old and past it and probably only got a new contract because he met the appearance clause.
Looks like we may have added a trialee gk to the ranks. http://m.chicago-fire.com/news/2014/10/news-sean-johnson-heads-hull-city-afc-training-stint The Chicago Fire announced Tuesday that goalkeeper Sean Johnson will train with English Premier League side Hull City A.F.C. from Oct. 30 through Nov. 9. “This is a good chance for Sean to continue to train in a Premiership environment during the offseason,” said Chicago Fire head coach Frank Yallop. “He’s had similar training experiences in the past as a result of the relationships that we have abroad, and it’s a good opportunity for him to stay sharp as we turn our sights to the 2015 season.” Recently named the Fire’s MVP and Defensive Player of the Year for the 2014 season, Johnson was one of only three players to appear in a team-leading 33 matches this year. In his fifth season with the Men in Red, the 25-year-old Lilburn, Ga. native made 96 saves en route to six shutouts. “Going to Hull City will be a fantastic training opportunity,” said Johnson. “Going over every year has proven great for me. As a player, to get better every single day, to develop, to play at that level, to see how it’s done day-in, day-out is great for myself. I think to get over there and showcase what you have can only do yourself good. Going right over there at the end of the season is going to be great for me as I’m not missing a beat.” A U.S. international, Johnson has been capped four times and was most recently called in by U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann for the U.S. vs. Honduras match on Oct. 14.
Dont see either McGregor being ready for the weekend and Harper certainly wont. So it has to be Jakupovic for the next 2 games Saints(h) and Burnley(a) which takes us to the next international break. Then see where we are by sunday 23rd november @ home to Tottenham. The Jak is back.
Unless for some odd reason you were being sarcastic, I suggest you recount how many each of them have scored, then work out why I've pulled you up on the number 5.
INCOMING......? According to the HDM, Sean Johnson coming on trial...... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...hnson-trial/story-23725893-detail/story.html?
