I don't know to be honest. It's a type of play that we tend to revert to when it's not going well. Possession and pass pass pass. I honestly don't think that Wenger is telling them to go out there and play slow football. But he probably does tell them to be patient and try to find the right ball rather than hoof if forward hopefully.
1 ) we play that way whatever ...how many times do we have, slow as f** , boring starts with endless passing back ,and only up the pace when we are behind.?
How many times, ?
feck me , if i see Merts get given the ball and then turn immediately backwards and LOOK for the backward/sideways pass
like its the default.......i could scream .
2 ) If he doesnt
want them to play like that then why are they , because lets face it , hes not on the touchline screaming at them
NOT to do it is he.... he just sits and watches it , for at least 70 minutes , FACT .
3 ) He MUST want them to do exactly that .
The fact is there is ZERO pressure on Wenger to produce anything........ therefore no incentive to even try anything different .
What he offers is stagnation .
Every coach in the league knows EXACTLY how Arsenal will play when they face us.
We are already at a disadvantage every week before the kick off whistle is blown .
