Which was worse - lasts seasons football or the Rodent?

Rodent's rubbish was played in the Championship whereas Hughton's horror was played in the PL so Hughton's does have a semblance of reasoning behind why it was so dire.
That said, last season's football was the worst I have seen in 47 years of watching City so Hughton wins it (which is more than can be said for most of the games he was in charge for).

IMO, you need to compare like with like. The present PL is tougher than the old Division One and it will always be a struggle. I voted Roeder as the worst because there were so many loan players. Hughton did at least build a decent squad.
TBF - Hughtons transfer dealings were probably his best asset. Just a shame he couldn't organise, motivate and play to their strengths.
Redent left us with a hell of a mess, expensive has been loan signings, which took a long time to recover and build a squad of any use, so he gets my vote.

Watching Norwich play became a task under Hughton and by the end of his tenure I didn't even bother taking interest in away games.

The original question was which was the worst football - I think it is certainly true that Hughton had a pretty decent transfer record whereas Rodent just surrounded himself with knock-offs and "don't care" loanees (Plastic Bertrand excepted) however, Rodent's team were never set up to "not lose" they were just not very good.
In terms of the overall I'd say it's rather unfair on Hughton to be lumped in with Roeder. Hughton struggled to play attacking football but even when he was sacked the club was in the best position in years.
Roeder nearly destroyed us, it was a far more damaging time and the football was really bad. I think last season is a fresher memory but it was pretty sure that the football was dire under Roeder too.
If we had to reappoint one I'd take hughton 100 time out of 100.

If we get promoted, that blip in first team performances will be irrelevant. And the club will have all the foundations of a PL club - something it didn't have when we came up under Lambert.

Rodent for me too, wasted money assembling a godawful team and left the club a financial ruin. We were painful to watch against bang-average teams, and if we hadn't got rid of him I think we'd have gone down with him eventually.
Hughton assembled a squad that I personally feel was good enough for the Premier League, within the budget he had available. As has been shown this season, with the exception of Bassong he got excellent personalities in too, players prepared to fight. Just a shame that his tactics were suspect and robbed the team of both confidence and points.

At currently 12-1 in his favour, I'd say he's come out of it pretty well! I guess it's kinda topical with Roeder apparently returning to football in some capacity with Cardiff.
Absolutely. I voted Roedent too, couldn't stand the man. Not only was the football worse, the players didn't seem to care.

It didn't work out for Hughton, and the football was certainly bad at times, but it's all relative. How soon we forget.
I wonder what the poll would show if Hughton was compared to Lambchop!

Indeed what is the point of this thread comparing one appalling manager who led you to relegation and one that kept you in the Premiership before he was sacked! The Rodent is by far the worst manager in your modern history so why bother comparing him to some one who achieved relative success!
"kept us in the Premier League before he was sacked" is opening a whole different can of worms, but the comparison wasn't necessarily meant to be of achievements but of footballing/managerial style. Roeder brought in rubbish players to play rubbish football against rubbish teams, Hughton brought in decent players, but used a questionable approach against some of the best teams in the world.
As I said above, it's not that bad an idea for a thread seeing as Roeder appears to be making a return to football.
