Ok, this is legitimate, it may sound as wumming, but does United's season start again today, if they win? As I said, it sounds like wumming, but how many times have we been here, a new United game against some okish team, and it's said that OUR SEASON STARTS NOW. If United win today, and I suspect a 3-0 victory, are United BACK and title contenders?

Which is the problem. What's Van Gaal really done to deserve the praise he gets as a manager? He's spent most of his career in the Dutch league (which isn't very good), he had one good season with Bayern Munich in 2010, before turning crap again and getting sacked ... then he's managed a largely unsuccessful Netherlands international team and got the United job. All of his other success came in the late 90s. If you look back on his managerial career, there's more failure when he manages the big clubs than there is success. This looks like it could very well be another chapter in that story.

He went to war against tge football politics of bayern sure, fergie would have and so would any strong minded manager.
