BBC did a poll yesterday on what the greatest sporting event is. So, how would you rank the following: Southampton league game Footie World Cup Rugby World Cup Ryder Cup Olympics Wimbledon Ashes For me it would be: 1) Soton 2) Olympics and Ryder cup 4) Rugby 5) Footie WC (so disillusioned with English football) 6) Ashes 7) Wimbledon Such a tough choice, they're all bloody brilliant. Anyway, something to think about on a Friday for you!

One thing's for certain; next years Rugby World Cup will be a hell of a lot more enjoyable than the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Rugby Union has had it's problems since the game went pro, but it's still more of a sport than it is a business. Association football has been poisoned by greed, and if it weren't for Saints I'd probably have little interest in the professional game anymore.
