...by all the players who were itching to get out and head to the north-west. Maybe its me but I find it hard to imagine Lallana and Lambert and Luke Shaw all saying 'yeah, go to Saints its awesome. We're all leaving and moving to a proper club with ambition but Saints would be perfect for you.' No doubt they would have plenty of good things to say about the club but seems like they'd have a hard time convincing anyone to join at the time they're all moving on. Unless they told him he'd get a proper move after a year or two. That I would believe.

I can believe it. They all had good times here, but they thought the grass was greener. Doubt any of them would say Southampton was a bad place to be.
