Here Brains my phone working with WiFi but laptop showing connected with yellow exclamation mark over it,what is that
Just click on the yellow exclamation mark and disconnect the wifi. Then reconnect. That usually works for me.

If you're connected to the same router as the lappy on your phone then clearly everything is alright there. The wee yellow exclamation means it thinks it isny connected. Have you tried browsing the web anyways? Sometimes the notification thingy thinks it isny connected when it is, particularly on Windows Vista. Also make sure you don't have the wifi receiver turned off on the lappy. There's usually a button on the laptop's case somewhere, or, there's key combination to switch it on/off. Look for a keyboard button that has a wifi symbol on it. For example on a Dell lappy I use it's the Fn + F2 to toggle the wifi receiver on/off, whereas my Vaio has a sliding switch to do it.
Could be many things: 1. Check your network settings, is your IP fixed or are you using DHCP? DHCP is recommended. 2. Open Command Prompt and reset your IP ipconfig/release then ipconfig/renew 3. If that doesn't work, reset your network adapter: 3a Where the little Wifi symbol is, right click and open Network and Sharing Center 3b Go to Change Adapter Settings 3c Right click on your Wifi adapter and Disable then Re-enable it Otherwise it might be a driver issue, have you run all your latest Windows updates? Try those and let me know PS: If you're using Vista, just throw your laptop away and go buy a new one
...or, his wifi might be turned off. Start with the simple things first. We are also assuming his phone was connected to his wifi router. If it was, then the router is happy. If he was actually browsing the web on his phone via GSM then the problem might actually be the router. Discover things step at a time. PS a lot of people are still using old lappy's at home, including Vista, you can't assume everybody runs out and buys a new laptop every time a new OS comes out ya eejit
At work now but will give that a go when I get home.I checked and it's telling me it's connected but yellow exclam still showing up on it and I tried to browsing but no joy.The missus may have done something or I did.I downloaded Trusteer last week after that malware attack last week which was free through my online banking,could that have done something to it? Vista was pre-installed on laptops about 8 years ago, the hardware will be pish Not a question of OSes, just that it's a ****ing old laptop. His Wifi can't be turned off as the little yellow exclamation mark wouldn't appear, there would be a red cross over it.
