Do me a favour lads sort out this garbage site for goodness sake! Latest problem in many, site constant message: Server load is too high so 'Guest' viewing has been temporarily disabled. Please register or log in to view the site. Logged In members never see this message. Thanks in anticipation!.................
Thought this was just me DP, currently in foreign lands and can only log in once a week. Total pain if this is happening with you guys. Maybe their updating the back office or snoop software slowing things down on server
People's video links keep saying I have to log in, how the feck can I do that if I am already logged in? That's been happening for over a month. Ultimately it is the host at fault, perhaps not606 might consider moving to a new forum provider.
I was hoping one of our mods would give us some feedback as to what the hell is going on with this site!............................... The joke is "Logged In members never see this message." but they do admin dear!..............
Mick had probably disabled guest mode temporary to prevent the site keeling over. This allows members that sign in, priority to the site. I guess it will only ever be a temporary measure, because revenue to run the site comes from Ads to guests. Just check any device you are using has not defaulted to guest mode, mobile devices used to do this. This is contained within the drop down box at the bottom of each thread in the swear filter.
bollocks I have been signed in and still get the message, this has been going on for 2 weeks, I don't use a mobile, the site is getting to be a joke, now I am still getting the message
Now lets get some help to solve the problem. 1) Are you actually logged in, when the error message shows does it still show you as logged in on the top right of the forums? 2) What web browser are you using. I myself am using Chrome and am having no issues whatsoever. It could be that a browser has recently had an update and could be at fault. 3) Try a tracert to the forums, it could be an issue with a hop on the way to the server that is timing out and throwing up issues. Especially as you mention it is taking 9 attempts to make a post. Code: To do a tracert, open the start menu and type "CMD" in the search bar and press enter. A command prompt window should open. type "tracert www.not606.com" You should get a result like: 1 2 ms 2 ms 2 ms BThomehub.home [192.168.1.254] 2 15 ms 14 ms 15 ms 217.32.141.34 3 15 ms 16 ms 15 ms 217.32.141.62 4 19 ms 19 ms 18 ms 217.32.141.234 5 18 ms 18 ms 19 ms 213.120.182.69 6 19 ms 19 ms 18 ms 31.55.164.109 7 19 ms 18 ms 18 ms 109.159.248.209 8 27 ms 28 ms 29 ms 109.159.252.204 9 22 ms 23 ms 23 ms peer1-xe2-0-0.telehouse.ukcore.bt.net [109.159.54.100] 10 60 ms 25 ms 29 ms linx.bb-d.ba.slo.gb.oneandone.net [195.66.236.9] 11 31 ms 36 ms 33 ms te-3-1.bb-d.bv.crb.fr.oneandone.net [212.227.12.25] 12 116 ms 41 ms 38 ms xe-0-2-1.bb-a.bap.rhr.de.oneandone.net [212.227120.42] 13 121 ms 40 ms 39 ms ae-10.gw-distp-a.bap.rhr.de.oneandone.net [212.27.121.165] 14 313 ms 819 ms 607 ms ae-1.gw-prtr-r231-a.bap.rhr.de.oneandone.net [15.20.247.50] 15 43 ms 38 ms 42 ms s16648123.onlinehome-server.info [87.106.14.53] That tells me that there may be an issue in the datacenter, not with the site, the reason being is that hop 14 is delayed for some reason. Maybe yours is similar or worse.
