I've been supporting Spurs for the past 46 years. I knew who Spurs were before I could speak. I grew up in Tottenham, junior school, infants and comprehensive, and I watched some of our best loved legends ply their trade at the Lane. I used to kick a football up against the wall in my back garden, listening to the Spurs faithful roar their joy and their disappointment a mere mile away.

You can accuse me of anything you like, but please never accuse me of being disloyal to Spurs.

I love banter with you guys. And the fact that my two threads tonight have produced the most amount of traffic on this site in the past two hours seems to imply that you and your Gooner chums love the same.

So why are we at war?

It's true, that my most violent arguments have been with fellow Spurs fans.

Sometimes, that is the price we pay for being passionate about the things we love.
