And he's currently injured again, having hurt his knee doing a slide when celebrating scoring a goal in training.

Given the injury he was out for so long for, sliding in training is not really the brightest thing to be doing.

It also lessens the myth that <standard> injuries are the sole dominion of Spurs.
Because let's face it, such an injury is straight out of the Spurs <standard> playbook. :( :)

Have Liverpool been on the box every game so far this season? It's ridiculous, I pay about £30 a month for football across the country and Europe, not Liverpool bloody TV. Arsenal v Southampton would be a great game to watch, Swansea v Everton looks an even match between two good sides to watch and plenty of others look a whole lot more interesting than watching Liverpool go through the motions beating a Championship side. The sooner they join United in getting knocked out the better, it's no wonder they've got so many fans their games are always on the box.

I agree. A below strength Liverpool at home to Middlesbrough was never going to be tie of the round.

But with Rossiter in the team and Miss Jones on the bench, perhaps Sky thought they'd get a few extra viewers tuning in thinking they were watching "Rising Damp."

A shame that it looks like Bradford won't be going any further this year.

Liverpool should've actually had a penalty at the end there. It's unintentional but refs have been giving those for a couple of years now. I like that it's not given as I don't think they should be but refs do give them all the time.

Boro deserve a bit of luck, they've given Liverpool a game and worked their socks off.

Unbelievable! Full credit to Boro, they've played well and worked so hard to get to penalties.

Nothing wrong with that, Liverpool are on far too much. Just because there was drama it doesn't mean it was a great game either, I'm sure there have been dramatic games in the Johnstone Pain Trophy, it doesn't mean I'd watch it over a Premier League game.

Anyway, what a penalty shootout. Unlucky Boro, Liverpool only have themselves to blame for nearly going out though.

I hope we take this evening's game seriously and get Liverpool in the next round. It might be our best chance to get over that recent evil eye they have over us. Their luck has to end soon doesn't it, surely only Chelski get to be permanently lucky? Liverpool have had luck in most of their games so far this season, saving their best performance for us of course. Doesn't help that both Liverpool and WBA seem to have reserved their best game of the season for us! Boro deserved something from the match but I don't mind Liverpool having another game to play, because I don't think their new squad is up to it.

Chelsea are unique, boring and lucky. I've never heard Pellegrini complain about another team's tactics before. They were lucky not to go behind at home against Leicester.
