Coquelin has played LB for us before but it isn't his natural position. Hayden has done well when I've seen him but he hasn't had enough of a chance to properly judge. Slightly concerned with those two. Chambers has done really well for us at CB for us so far and I'm confident he has the ability to play there, but so far has had an experienced head next to him for guidance. It'll be interesting to see how he does without that influence. He's the one I'm most confident about along the back four. Bellerin looks good going forward, he's very very quick and the ex barca youth player did well against Dortmund last week. He is a little suspect positionaly and doesn't look like he always gets back when he needs to. I think he will do well, not overly concerned by him being in the team. Overall it's a very young back line so they will need to really perform, they need to concentrate and not lose there shape, keep it simple. As for Diaby I think most of us are excited to see him in the team. He's quality. He's had his injury issues but he tends to come back to form very quickly, not particularly concerned with him in the team, mainly happy for him. As for the rest of the team, the gk is fine and so are the midfield and attack, should cause plenty of problems. I have this down as a high scoring game.
I'd like to see him come back strongly after tonight for a couple of reasons: 1. You need that position sorted so you can really challenge and I'd like to see you challenging properly against City and Chelsea as it keeps United and Liverpool further back. 2. If he comes back strong and stays injury free this season, you won't need to sign Schneiderlin, who is perfect for you (though could probably play even higher tha you guys).
I had the earphones in listening to the climax of the 'Twitchy' Norwich game when my wife was in labour with my first son Damn, YES, YES, Nooo, YES, Noo, Phew, we survive another week.............A boy you say. Saints fans are far too pessimistic wanting Arsenal to be stronger to fend off City and Chelsea. Believe. We want Arsenal to do badly so we can retain a CL place by the end of the season.
Pot, kettle etc etc http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...Arse-and-lay-down-a-marker-let-s-win-that-cup!
Not Pot, Kettle at all. Not even a little bit. For that term to apply the Saints thread would need to be suggesting a reserve / youth team would beat Arsenal including players in defence who were out of position / played minimal games. And a striker who has never scored a pro goal. It would need to say: Our team tonight should be: Kelvin Davis McCarthy, Cork, Debayo, Targett Davis, Reed Mayuka, Tadic, Mane Seager That will be good enough to get past Arsenal. So not the same. But it is my fault I keep forgetting that Not606 has fans of all clubs as I switch between reading here and SaintsWeb a lot
Interesting and detailed analysis. The concern with Diaby has got to be whether he is up to the pace. He obviously has the quality otherwise Arsenal wouldn't have kept him on.
Well he's been playing for the reserves and the club have really taken there time with bringing him back this time. As long as he avoids injury I'll be pleased for him in his return game. I doubt he will play 90 mins though. He'll probably come off at 45 or 60 mins I'd imagine. Our back line could be undone due to a lack of experience so I expect you guys to score but I'm happy that the forward players we are using are capable of getting goals as well. I've predicted 3-2 to the arsenal. (I'm assuming we play the team I previously posted). What I'm particularly interested to see is who is on the bench for arsenal. I know we will have at least two youth players, possibly more, but I want to know which first team players we have to bring on if it goes tits up!
