  • Premier League

  • Champions League

  • FA Cup

  • League Cup

  • As much as Everton and Spurs!

I'm a little bit behind on MOTD and only just watching Man City v Chelsea. When Zabaleta gets sent off I'm not sure if he pinches the back of D.Costa's head but he certainly digs his thumb into his chest. Reaction had that been Suarez, Barton, etc...?

And van Ghoul's got the decency to give Leicester exactly no credit for the victory saying that Utd beat themselves, there was some of that but it's bollocks, Leicester took the game to them physically, mentally and through running and hard effort, Utd responded by falling down and fouling.

Didn`t really listen to the interview did you, or did you just blank out the bits about knowing what Leicester were capable of after coming back against Arsenal and Stoke, or the part where he said Leicester played as a team and we didn`t (as has been pointed out by some Leicester supporters). He was obviously dissapointed at the way we caved in but did acknowledge the fact that they deserved to win.

Hmmm....

L.Van Gaal on losing 5-3 to Leicester City: said:
"We had the game in our pocket and we gave it away. Not because of Leicester City. We gave it away and that's not good enough!"

Nothing wrong with this, it`s a true statement, do you see it another way? At 3-1 the game was ours to lose and we did that. This one line does not put Leicester down, it shows our failings, the two parts i quoted show respect for Leicester.

I understand where you and LVG are coming from but its also degrading towards Leicester. He's basically saying if Man Utd had played to his expectations then it wouldn't have mattered what Leicester did as they wouldn't have been good enough to change things around. That may or may not be true but the arrogance to say it is disrespectful!

PS...and I don't like Leicester so I'm not standing up for them (although I dislikes Man Utd more :))

PPS...maybe LVG is finding out what the PL is all about now <whistle>

I actually like Leicester and the way they play, have liked them since the 70s :emoticon-0111-blush

Yes but a dopey liverpool fan saw something different....

So after an abysmal weekend of results the only team that came out smiling is Arsenal. Man City vs Chelsea was always going to be a draw, I put a large(isn) wager on it I was so convinced.

Arsenal fans must be buzzing.

The rest of us well - not much changed, in the sense of putting pressure on our main rivals. So a weekend to forget really. I was thinking the worse when we lost on Saturday, as I knew other than Arsenal the big guns were playing Sunday - ****ing lucky Sunday turned out to be mental.

Yeah, yesterday brought a certain amount of damage limitation. Its early days, but we have to find our feet sharpish.

arsenal fans always buzz right up to February when their world falls in round their ears.

LFC's only consolation is EVERYONE who could get 4th is shockingly inconsistent. 4th is barely up for grabs still.... is that a consolation... nope...

don't like leicester cos garry lineker is from there.... don't hate them mind but I don't really give a toss basically.. i tried to make something up but my hearts not in it.

no i'd rather laugh at harry redknapp cos he went to old trafford defeated before he ever got there and what occurred yesterday was an average side who didn't give up was playing at home and got the luck...

I'm sorry LFC fans but the truth is while Utd have some right average stuff going on they have a top top attack and its going to get them a long way... nowhere near the top 3 but goals win games.

very true, and a lot of us know its only a matter of time until it clicks, BUT we are going to enjoy it while it lasts <diva>

also, i am not convinced one player going will take us from 2nd to 7th either.

it will be out of utd and liverpool for 4th i reckon, trouble is for us its down to the form of sturridge and sterling, they have more match winners than we do, and that could be key in the end.

A top attack got us to 2nd last year and a w**k defense arguably cost us the title. I expect Utd to do well, but again will be hampered by a w**k defense.
As for us this season, we still have a w**k defense and now a w**k attack.

True. They're always going to score goals and will be good to watch too, can they outscore their opponents regularly though? I expect them to be strong challengers for top four TBH

Man Utd would love our **** 2013-14 defence though <laugh>

I think at home they will probably be quite good. away form home is where teams will try and put it up to utd.

theres plenty of bad pros in this division who won't turn up at old trafford
