Easiily our best player and yet under performing on a monumental scale this season and his contributions have been minimal.

He doesn't seem to be half the player he was last season. He seems to be playing with anxiety and tension and is way off his game. Currently he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as England.

He also looks out of shape and bulky. Especially in comparison to last year.

I wonder what the reasons could be.

    - Disappointment of playing so well and missing out in the England squad twice. That being the main reason he moved here.

    - Europe / FA Cup hangover.

    - Home sick

    - Fitness

    - New player competition pressure

    - Played in wrong position

    - Personal Problems

Maybe he should grow his hair again. Hasn't been the same since he was shorn after that brilliant goal against Sheffield United. <confused>

Devastating to put ourselves in a winning position like that and fail to win the match. Hopefully we can start seeing games out

So used to chasing the result rather than leading it.

I agree he doesn't look right. He still controls the ball well and passes it around but he has zero impact. No assists, no drives, no shots, no tackles.

Get him on the low calorie pies.

His recent performances vindicate England not taking him to Brazil. Get the Southampton larker in.

Huddlestone will not hurt teams by sitting in front of the back four picking easy balls to play to other midfield players.

This is when SB earns his money! No doubt we've got talented players now but who goes where? Dare he drop Thudd & jake?? Not seen a lot of gaston to say give him a go but it wouldn't hurt to mix things up a bit.

Except the drive that resulted into an excellent shot which turned into an assist at home against stoke.

And no tackles is just absolute bollocks.

All players, regardless of their ability, go through a loss of form. Like someone else said, this is where Brucie earns his corn getting Tom back to his best.

He's playing as a defensive midfielder, it's not often that they have much attacking contribution. His job is to keep things going and break up the play. He is doing that fine.

Not bad today. Livermore was much worse.

Yes - yet another bad day at the office for Livermore.

Thudd tried to do a little too much when passing today, looking for a killer ball straight down the pitch when we needed to keep the ball better. But he remains one of the first names on the teamsheet as far as I'm concerned.

ever since we bought Livermore it is like he has given up trying.
I equate it to getting in shape to get a bird and once you land her, you let yourself go.

I was talking to a guy today who'd just come back from Uruguay on business and he reckons they say Ramirez is the best of the players we've brought in. If this is the case (and I haven't seen enough of him to agree or disagree) maybe he should be in for thudd or jake

Keep Huddlestone deep and just wait until he has Diame, Ramirez and Ben Arfa in front of him.
