He plays in the championship now though. Both Pulis and Hughes couldn't find a role for him.

I do think though that we need another striker in the team. Hopefully we'll start scoring some of the chances we've been making.

Hardly a legend, Thai, but he's doing very well at the moment.

Agreed, the acid test will be if we bounce back, what he can do for us in the PL.
A long way to go for him to really make a name for himself but he is becoming a favourite for some quite rapidly now.

Norwich fan in peace. Jerome has settled into our squad amazingly quickly and thriving on Neil Adams' attacking style, but it's not just the goals, as his work-rate is excellent and he's very much a team player. Yes, it is the Championship, but that means playing against defensive minded teams that make it very difficult as Birmingham did on Saturday, but to score 5 goals in two starts and two sub appearances is still very impressive (he also scored one in the cup as well). None of them was a a tap-in, and most were very special indeed. Early days yet, but the signs are very good.

He IS a good 'un RER.

I would have him in our squad rather than Walters & Crouch.
And given a decent run in the team.

    Tin hat on

Sorry, I didn't mean to denigrate the Championship and he is doing well. I hope he carries on putting them in for you for you.

I have this strange thing that I like to follow the careers of players that have left Stoke. It lead to an unfortunate period in the 80's where Arsenal were my second team (sorry, I know) because of Dixon and Bold.

I know, I felt it was time to confess, that for a while, I wanted Arsenal to win. As soon as Bold left though and Dixon retired, I returned to sanity and lost interest in them.

Obviously, Stoke have been my constant. I now look out for Doncaster Rovers for no reason other than a mate is a fan :)

Surely everyone has second teams in other diviisons?

Fair play to Jerome and I'm happy for him after the way he was treated under Pulis - which probably ended his Prem career after his woeful goal scoring record at Brum! I 2nd Nick that with O'demwingie out we could do with Jerome's pace over the likes of Walters - but them again I dont think Walters should be anywhere near the team.

Smithers I said I would have kept Jerome no tin hat needed.
I also told Norwich fans, they got a bargain, so far so good. He is a natural goal scorer. As for Walters? He works hard. I would, swap those 2 right now as Walters offers no goal threat whatsoever.

Arsenal?????? Zoz, no swearing again on this board, wash your mouth out! <laugh>

I was but an impressionable teenager and I might have had a crush on Dixon. My soul feels cleansed though having got that off my chest.
