It seems 3 in a week was a little too much for KIO (Sorry if you have made one and just haven't had time to post it) so I'll just start a thread. Nothing too fancy I'm afraid.

    Match History:

    Norwich Wins 18
    Brum Wins 20

Today Norwich City welcome Birmingham City to Carrow Road in round 8 of the Skybet Championship season. The Blues have had a rather disappointing start to their campaign and sit in 20th place in the league table winning just once, drawing three and losing three. They go into today's game on the back of a 0-2 home reverse against Sheffield Wednesday and have lost three of their last four games scoring only once.

Current Blues manager and former Canary assistant Lee Clark

Norwich must therefore go into today's match against Lee Clark's side as huge favourites as they are sitting pretty in 2nd place in the table having won five of their seven games so far with a goal difference of plus 10. The Canaries will be in confident mood as they take on The Blues but manager Neil Adams will take nothing for granted and is sure to have done his homework with regard to both the weaknesses and strengths of today's opponent's. Last time out Norwich secured what on paper looked a comfortable 3-0 win away at Brentford, but that really doesn't tell the whole story as for long periods in the first half the Bees were arguably the better side. In the second half though, City found their form with goals from Alex Tettey and two from in form striker Cameron Jerome ensuring The Canaries left Griffin Park with all three points.

    Match history

Norwich and Birmingham didn't play each other until 9th October 1965 where they met in a league division two fixture at St Andrew's Birmingham winning the game 1-0. Since then there have been a further 61 competitive league and cup matches if you include Birmingham's Texaco Cup 1st round 3-1 victory in 1974. The most remembered encounter between the two is of course the 2002 League Division One play-off final where Birmingham secured Premier League status after their penalty shoot out win over The Canaries.
There have been 52 league meetings in total, today will be the 27th at Carrow Road where Norwich have the upper hand with 12 victories to Birmingham's 4, there have been 10 drawn games.
At St Andrew's however it is a different story as it hasn't been a happy hunting ground for the Canaries as they have only managed 6 wins, 6 draws and have suffered 14 defeats.
In 1985 the two sides were drawn together in the third round of The FA Cup and because at the time all ties had to be settled in real time with no penalty shoot outs, incredibly the tie was played over four games before Norwich eventually saw off the Blues 1-0 in the last match.
Norwich's best win was in April 1970 in the old second division when they beat Birmingham 6-0 at Carrow Road. Birmingham's biggest winning margin was on 8th December 2001, the Blues winning 4-0 at St Andrew's in League Division One.

Sorry, Colk. I'm superstitious. I think KIO has a 100% record on these things.

I've merged the threads, unfortunately the earlier posted one takes precedence, I hope it doesn't spoil KIO's run of luck!
