Jeez, never applied for a visa before? If he gets it by Friday it will have been processed much quicker than a regular guy trying to get one done. My visa for China next year has been in-process for a month now already.
After it's issued he'll have a multi-entry work permit so no problem.

Not strictly true, my brothers both got a working visa to go to australia, arrived in 2 days.
