Yes but they would now have to pay at least £65 million for him (and even that would be cheap) given that he is the fourth best preforming player in the PL so far this season.

I know but I still think you are doing him a disservice. Week by week, last season, many people on this forum thought that Cork outperformed Schneiderlin.

No, I think you are misunderstanding my opinion. I think he's a great player, but the likes of the top 4 clubs aren't going to want him even if he maintains his top form, so he can't be an asset for everybody. Morgan would improve any squad. It's quite simple really. And yes, there are times when he has outperformed Morgan. That will happen once in a while.

I'm not being unfair here. If it makes any difference, I enjoy watching Jack perform well more than I like watching Morgan, because I like him more as a player. How about that..? :)

Interesting that Morgan has started adding goals to his repertoire, and now Jack is apparently following suit.

Quite interesting really. We've moved away - to an extent - from Pochettino's preferred style of pressing high up the pitch, but in doing so we've actually become more aggressive.

Yes we certainly arent dominating possession as much but we are creating more chances and most importantly bar West Brom putting them away.

If possession isn't everything, players will take more chances if they see an opportunity. Some will come off, some won't, but we may end up with more wins.

Nice piece on premier league world all about little ole Jack. Pretty general but good profile piece comes across as a really nice guy with a lot of potential and a great work ethic. Had to fight to get where he is. Main thing I took away was that Chelsea is just a dead end street. Theres a big wall blocking the end for their academy graduates so its off on loan or stagnate and die. Corky reckons the loan system pretty much made him but personally I think having been a leader and captained his sides at younger levels he was cheated by the loan system. Saints have much to be proud of with what we do for younger players.

Also a great piece of Benali's big run. Would never had had him pegged as such a warm, likeable fella, he always hid that on the pitch didnt he? Absolutely massive what he did on that run and it took a huge physical and mental toll. Good on him, I'll be donating some money to the cause. Ralph got himself in on the action I see : )

I reckon we've become a lot more aggressive on the ball, but maybe a bit less so off it? I remember so many occasions last season where we'd pass the ball around half way inside the opposition's half for ages, without a clue what to do with the ball. More incisive now.

We don't start to press with meaning until the half way line now. Whereas before we pressed immediately the opposition had the ball, wherever they were on the pitch. I suspect we might use the high press in a variable system of plans. Ronald had already shown us more variation in 5 matches than MP did in a season and a half.

Notice in Koeman's recent interview that there is still no new contract for Cork or even a sense it might happen. I'm sure that a superb year for Cork could change that, but we seem happy to use him and let him go on a free (rather than commit to a longer contract).

Can't help but think that right now it's a case of prove you want to be here. No deals for benchwarmers so get the gloves off and start bleeding red and white. If my hopes come right it will be a case of players wanting to stay here not us having to pay them through the nose. Feels like we're building something great at the moment.

The good thing is that it looks like Cork will get some playing time...the danger was that he would be overlooked and not get the opportunity. Koeman seems to believe in using the squad.

Right, we've kept Scotland, now we need to get Jack on a long term deal. I know which one I'd prefer.
