I read this today on the Racing Post website and I must admit I've never heard of the bloke. However, it is always sad when one of horse racing's family passes away and I will be sure to read an obituary about him. RIP.

RIP Oliver Brady.

One of the sport's boldest and brightest characters. It very much came across to me that Brady cared more about the happiness of others than that of himself as he routinely shouted from the rooftop of his horses chances - a feat never seen by other trainers. He seemed to adore helping others win a few quid at the expense of the bookies.

Nobody can doubt the man's passion and commitment for racing. One of a kind, and will be sorely missed.

Very sad to see that we have lost one of the true characters of the sport. A live well lived. RIP Oliver.

<peacedove> R.I.P. Oliver Brady who will be sadly missed in the winner's enclosure Listowel 2011 <peacedove>

When are you back from Holiday, I could do with visiting the winners enclosure myself!
Good Luck <ok>
