Could you confirm that the tea lady and her urn are still available,I'd left her chained to the canteen table awhile back.

I see Arnason has made the sun newspaper today. Headline saying he has been sacked by Argyle for asking to be payed. When you read the article, it turns out that the admin man sacked him. Just the sort of publicity we need to recruit new players!

The club is still bleeding players like a whale that's been riddled with machine gun fire.

Another day closer to the season start and the club is still losing not signing players.

I believe the club is now below or at the very least dangerously close to not being able to field 11 players.

Still this fact is lost on the majority of the fanbase who are blissfully ignorant and many are only just starting to come around to the fact that this coming season is not going to be a merry jaunt but at best another relegation slog.

Simple question, who on earth is going to be playing for this team in a few weeks time?

This is like the RAF amassing for an imminent war on the border of some Arab land but with no actual airplanes!!!! We've got a few battered and abused underpaid ground-staff, we've got a state-of-the-art runway, but no planes and no pilots and no money or time to get any!!

And you would like to bet how much that Argyle will not have a squad by season kickoff? Knob.

Is your life really this sad and empty, my contempt for you is slowly turning to sadness for the pathetic empty void that you call an existance. Where on this thread or any other has anyone pretended or said the club is in perfect health and everything is rosey other than you tosspot.

NOW....SLOWLY.....FOR...THE....HARD....OF...UNDERSTANDING......WE......ARE....SUPPORTERS.......OF....PLYMOUTH....ARGYLE....WE.....KNOW.....IT......IS....IN...A....BAD...STATE.....BUT...WE......WILL...SUPPORT....IT....STILL.....BECAUSE....THAT´S....WHAT....SUPPORTERS....DO. mexijan..............I know that DS is not everyones cup of tea to put it politely, but I do believe your being a tad unfair in your comments.

It's DS so it can only be rubbish that he's saying, but realistically there is a lot that we are all thinking in what he has said.

1......Having reduced the squad by half we are still alarmingly losing players.........about seven left.

2......Yes it could be harder than we think in DIV TWO.

3......Yes, who will be realistically pleased to join a team in such a mess.

4......PAFC a club with badly treated staff being given donations by fans,a ground we don't own anymore, hardly any players on their books still in administration, owed a lot of money by there phantom buyers .......etc.....etc

Like it or not thats our club.

Arnason can throw a long way but nothing has ever really come of it. Not a reason to keep him.

That wouldn't be any fault of Arnason, just surprised me that Peter Reid (ex-Stoke ) couldn't make use of him.

It's all history now anyrate, another failed aspect of Argyles terrible season.

I think those are the exact points I was trying to get accross to him Plym, as far as I have seen nobody seems to think we are going to walk league 2, we are short of players, we will struggle to attract new players, clubs still in an extremely dangerous position in terms of survival. Is anybody saying/thinking otherwise? However I for one will still support whatever the next season brings as I am and have been a green for a fair while now and intend to be one til my dying day and will not apologise for that to anyone or except being called ignorant, stupid for supporting my home town team.

We are losing players and in the grand scheme of things that may be no bad thing.

Firstly, this is the same group of players who got us relegated twice. Let's not forget that not so long ago certain amongst us were telling us they were a complete shower of s**t and now all of a sudden it's apparently a tragedy they're leaving.

Secondly, they're probably a more expensive group than we can afford within a League 2 wage cap and the club's fractured finances. So yes it would be nice to realise some transfer income from them but a very least their absence from the payroll may be a blessing in disguise.

What is important is that the deal gets done asap and Sir Peter gets a few weeks to bring in players of his own, wherever they come from.

I agree with Distant. They played well towards the end of the season, but I know I and the people who sit with me were thinking "why didn't they play like this from the beginning? They are supposed to be Championship grade players."

The saving we will make on wages so far this season with the bulk of these players gone is substantial.

Besides we have a new crop of players joining the set up as below:

Re Arnasson's throw, I've said it before on here, there is no comparison to Rocket Rory at Stoke - it is NOT just the length of the throw, it is the trajectory - flat and vey fast that makes the difference, plus we have about 5 or 6 players in the box all about 7 foot tall!!

Anyway the 'throw' only contributed to 5 goals last season, most have sussed it out - except for Arsenal - teehee

Notdistant, you have contextually misquoted me.

I am not appalled that the shower of £4it are leaving in their droves, what I am appalled at is that the club is not even remotely close to being able to recruit any replacements.

In fact appalled is not strong enough a phrase, I am shocked and astounded that we are now approaching July and there is not even a hint of a shred of an ounce of an outside chance that we look like preparing for a gruelling season in a competitive league. Not only is the club not preparing it is actually getting worse with bad press coming out that is sure to put off any new recruits barring the most sad and desparate.

Basically what we are going to see (if anything at all) is a brand new football club trying to start up from scratch in the NPower Football League but with absolutely no resource and a squad that will be made up of cobbled together desparate amateurs and wannabe's.

Certain relegation before Xmas is assured, have you got your bets in yet? Might as well make some money out of all the misery. This has been obvious for so long yet the fans are painfully slow to wake up to it. I've been saying for a long, long, long time that relegation to League 1 then 2 is still only the beginning of the slide. We have a long way to fall yet, a long, long way.

Some of you seem to think that because we have Peter Reid (for now) that everything is going to be alright and that he is some kind of footballing Messiah who can halt the tide and walk on water. Newsflash, Peter Reid is not a God, he is just another mortal ex-player. There is not a shred of evidence to show that Peter Reid is capable of doing anything for PAFC or anyone else. He has been professional in his conduct and an honourable man but in his time here there has not been a single iota of hard factual evidence that can show he will be able to create and train a competitive team from scratch in 3 weeks which is the challenge that awaits him!!!

Even if we had Alex Ferguson with Jose Mourinho as assistant we would be relegated again this time next year. A squad of 7 players, a reputation as the biggest train-wreck in the league system, the most infamous crook in English football as our owner and a budget of ZERO??? there can be only one outcome, get used to it.

Er why don't you just piss off, you boring, repetitive tripehound. Just answer the question about Rocket Rory's Delapidator and keep your assinine opinions to yourself.:emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke:

I've seen Peter Reid walk on water personally and can vouch for it. You still persist with the "us" "we" and "our" words don't you. Pray tell me in your non posting reply what Argyle has got to do with you exactly???? Apart from predicting them falling down the drain and insisting you are going to make a load of dosh betting on their downfall that is. I don't see how any of those words apply to you and me as a supporter. Lets just see how much your predictions pan out. Lets however not forget the one you have made already about Stapleton returning. Have you conceeded that yet? If you are right at the end of the season or even Christmas as predicted then by all means come on with a simple "I told you so", If you are wrong then of course I expect to hear absolutely nothing, In the meantime keep your promise and bugger off to the beach.

Hey surfer you still talk ****! Why don't you give over as you keep repeating your self and you make your self look a big prick! By all means have a bet, you won't have a winner tho. Before you say it, i use to say those things. The toad and co have long gone. So either support the club or fook off and learn to smurf.
