This will test Adam's character. He has never been under any pressure from fans before...he could make mistakes and Saints fans would never get on his back. He had a huge pile of brownie points to stand him in good stead. Incidentally, it is ridiculous to get on a player's back after such a short time. Still great fun<ok>

The bigger the club the bigger the criticism.......He will not last long before the crowd will get on his back......as has been said Saints fans are more forgiving if someone has an off day. Just remember they expect a performance every time because of the money the club paid for him. There is no hiding place in Liverpool. I also gather there is a little bit of complaining re our friend and theirs Lovren. I may be mistaken but a couple of Liverpool fans I know where saying that his mistakes have cost them a couple of goals. That incidentally didn't include the one we score I don't think......interesting!!

I would take great satisfaction from seeing him fail at Liverpool.

What's this obsession with the fortunes of our ex players?...Adam has moved on, deal with it.
We "nicked" him from Bournemouth for nothing, got 7 years service from him in which he helped us to the top half of the Premiership from League 1, then sold him for £25m, money which has helped us to build possibly an even stronger squad than before.
I'm pretty ambivalent to how he plays for Liverpool, but I will be be hoping that he does well for England, as that will be reflected in the fortunes of the National Team.

Of course it would be funny to see Lovren and Lallana fail after Liverpool paid best part of 50 million for them, although its a bit early to write them off yet, especially Adam as it was his first game back from injury.
Of the 2 i would prefer Lovren to have a mare, he was the one who gave us 1 season, Lallana showed loyalty to the Saints when we dropped to League 1, when a couple of Premier League sides wanted him, but he stayed with us to help us and him progress. I dont blame him for joining a side to play champions league, he had not long before signed a new contract, which gave us a stronger hand to get a better price for him, and of course we managed to get Tadic for a third of the price who is a more than capable replacement.
The problem for Lallana is he has to compete with Sterling, Coutinho, Markovitch,Henderson and Allen for a starting place in the side, and too be honest i dont see him being a regular starter for them.

All 3 ex-Saints at Liverpool will find that with their dream moves comes so much expectation that the fun might just disappear and they'll wish they were back on the South Coast. If Lovren [I can't type the word I have on his Liverpool PES6 shirt but it begins with a C] returns to Lyon form then he will have a major problem. Those lovely, knowledgeable folk in the Kop will get on his back pronto. Rickie's dream might not be so much fun after all, as he won't get on the pitch that often, and when he does he'll have to perform immediately. The Lallana [still known as Twatbeard] of two seasons ago will not be good enough for Liverpool. Last season he was good enough, but that form has to be continuous, or he'll be an occasional starter or sub only. I'm sure that wasn't in his plans. I'm now actually glad they're gone. We're better without them, and we'll get better still. And we effectively got the Academy upgrades for free, with the money saved. Can't see a minus anywhere.

Its not an obsession. Its just a bit of fun! You can't tell me that, for example, you want Spurs to do well this season? Maybe even do a bit worse than last year?

Couldn't care less to be honest, I'm a look forward sort of person and Poch is history to me.
I think that Adam deserves a little bit of gratitude for what he achieved with us and we made a pretty tidy profit (£20m) on him too. He felt that the time was right for him to move on as many favourites have done before him, Shearer, Danny and Rod Wallace, Channon, Steve Williams etc, to want him to fail seems a bit petty to me that's all.

i think it depends on how the players left the club. lambert was respectful, whereas there was talk about lallana issuing ultimatums about never playing for the club again if we didn't let him move. and then there was lovren.

The best way to judge the manner of how they left us is to read the notices that were posted on the OS. Lambert was lauded, Chambers and Shaw were waved politely off, whereas MP, Lovren and Lallana were spat on as they left.

There was talk about Lallana issuing ultimatums, but i dont remember him actually coming out in the press, (although i may have missed this as i was away on holiday for a while). I really dont think he deserves a lot of the flak he has taken. Lambert was never going to be a regular starter this season anyway, and got a move back to his dream club, so no problems with him either.
I will reserve my abuse for Lovren, who i think will be a success at Liverpool, and Pochettino, who i think was the catalyst for a lot of the upheaval in the summer, and would absolutely love it if we beat Spurs twice this season and finish above them before he gets sacked next summer.

Any ill will I am tempted to feel towards the rats who left the ship doesn't really stand up to scrutiny. The only loyalty in football is felt by the fans not the players or managers. I can't even blame Pochettino for his coniving given the way the club treated his predecessor.
