& you haven't grasped the point of an opinion.....I may not agree with a politicians view and in an open society I'm free to express an opinion. Doesn't mean I want to or could do their job. Sorry if that's a tricky concept for you to get your head round
United will have the same number go shots v Leicester and instead of going into the corner of the net they'll clear the crossbar or perhaps just one might go in, vardy will score with their one chance and it'll finish 1-1. Sometimes you have games like that, let's not lose perspective
I hope today finally puts to bed any notions that we have any right to be treated as equals with the likes of Manchester United
I think Queens might be a bit tired and emotional. Things are bad enough today without our own fans having to have a pop at each other. Take a deep breath and calm down lads. Man Utd starting Xl and bench = £ 301.5 million QPR starting Xl and bench = £67.5 million Yet we're the ones who over spend and face FFP?
Marginally better than v Spurs, but 12 games is judgement time. Vargas looked lively. Urinals have huge sources of revenue to keep them out of FFP trouble, which is why I hope the Old Oak development revenue will feature on our balance sheet even if it goes straight into the pockets of our shareholders. On paper we will be the richest club in the world!
That's always going to happen with our relative revenues and ground capacities. FFP promotes a de facto cartel situation, sad to see how big finance is destroying our top league.
The annoying thing today is that United were not THAT good, we made them look good. It was a game we could have got something out of if we'd got at them more on the counter. Their defence was open to the counter-attack and we never really tested them. Had Phillips' effort gone in on the half-hour it may have spooked them enough to make more errors than they did but we kept giving the ball away as we always seem to do, it really is frustrating. I really do think if Leicester play as well as they have to date this season they could surprise United next week...
I thought I'd hold fire before sharing my thoughts but here it goes.... It wasn't a game we were expected to win. However, with this in mind, the least our supporters can ask for is 100% character and effort to try and get something from the game. Redknapp set the team up to try and contain United and it was inevitable they were going to score after roughly 5 minutes. Our play whilst we were in possession today was atrocious. Leroy Fer in particular was shocking. We looked both clueless and gutless, and it's a real shame for paying fans to travel and witness that. Being 3-0 down at half time against Spurs and now United is completely unacceptable. It was basically a practice match for them today. I do believe that this HAS to be the last season for Redknapp. We ideally want a philosophy at this club, a style of play and an identity. We rarely see the same 11 play consecutive matches, and this is down to HR p**sing about with the tactics and the shape. The key now is to try and pick up as many home wins as possible. Let's hope that starts next weekend.
Indeed, only decent thing about Premier league is that we're on MOTD on Saturday/Sunday nights. As a kid for a few years I used to watch Yeovil at their old ground in the old Southern League before the days of promotion to what is now League 2, it was great, one doesn't have to be a plastic Man U/Chelsea/City and now Arsenal supporter to appreciate a decent game. Not happy with what has happened to the beautiful game.
What an insipid, passionless, pathetic performance. What the **** does Redknapp actually do? How we missed Barton today.
We were supposed to have a game plan to force the play. We sat back and the result was only going one way. Yes they only had 5/6 shots on target. Utd will still struggle to make top four as they played a team today knowing the would lose without a fight. Rednapp must take the blame for being tactically c**p. Just be thankful we didn't play chelski as they would have had 10. Yun must replace "over the Hill" as he is now well past it. Two away games 8-0 not good reading, playing Charlie up front on his own is tactically rubbish. Need two upfront or we will not created chances. Only saving grace is we have played two of the top 6 away from home.
Oh well, It's never nice when we loose any game. Having just has a quick gander at our match prediction thread it proves most of us are realists with 34 for a loss, 19 for a draw and 11 for a win. I was one who put us down for an optimistic draw. I have been out all day so I'm just catching up. Without going through this whole thread could someone kindly tell me if Man U were really good and are gelling or were we just awful and not have a plan?
