One moment for us to cheer so far this season (Burton included).
Could our failure to acquire an additional striker be our downfall?

The one negative this transfer window was the failure to sign another striker. It was pretty obvious that Remy was going to go yet we wait until the final day to get someone in. Austin unproven at this level, Zamora's fitness always in question and Vargas an unknown quantity. So yes, it could seriously bite us in the arse!

Fairly irrelevant when you approach games as negatively as we do under Redknapp

Reimds me of the Mark Hughes approach

When Remy got rejected by Liverpool, I thought we needed to keep him and get another striker. It is like last year in the January transfer window when we didn't get the quality strikers in and this nearly cost us promotion. When Remy was rejected we should have offered him a new contract and gave him 2 days to sign, and if not put him on the transfer list. That way we knew where we stood and we could have got someone else in and should have possibly got 2. Harry instead kept going on that he hoped Remy would stay.

Remy got poached by Chelsea with 2 days to go in the transfer market and we got our pants pulled down and properly f*****d.

Now we have to rely on Austin (unproven), Zamora (Can't play a full game) and Vargas (who isn't an out and out striker). If any get injured we are in the s**t. Can our midfield players score enough to keep us going to the January window. For me that is the question, but we shouldn't have to sit and hope we should have ensured we had enough quality strikers.

Vargas looked decent today, better than Austin who did ok last season.

Stupid comment- you are judgingVargas on 20 mins of football where he touched the ball 4 or 5 times v a whole season of Austin?!! Austin did well in 2 out of the 3 games in this league and you can hardly balme him for today considering how isolated Redknapp left him

You seriously saying Vargas didn't look sharper than Austin today?

I've said this before on here, I dont think Austin is good enough for the PL.....

We need to splash a bit of cash on a proven striker.
