I doubt if we will score 8 goals this year never mind in 1 match. who is going to score any goals..... Austin probably a few but nothing like in the championship, then we have Zamora or Vargas. This will mean lots of pressure on the defence, not feeling confident until January when Defoe or someone else comes in.... unless Vargas is better than expected.

Agree Igor. Considering this match will be shown live around the world and many people will be watching us for the first time we can do without an embarrassing performance. Id pay good money for 3pts or even a draw but I cant help feeling Utd will ease to a 2 or 3 -0 victory with the quality of their team. Come on you Rs please prove me wrong.

I am hoping we can do what Villa did at Liverpool yesterday. Unfortunately we often seem to freeze in these big games and pay to much respect, resulting in a 3-0 or more win for Man Utd, with the media stating they have signed some star players and our back, however they lose the next game to Leicester.

Lets go to Old Trafford we have some good players, and try and get a result.

Arry show the lads this
This will get them going
No chance for QPR' Jonathon @@@@ Pearce

"I don't think Louis van Gaal will change his back three system, he's gone too far down the track to stop it now. But where do they all play? He's got a number of options that fit into the system so it will be interesting to see how they line up.
"With Falcao it all depends on what mood he is in. I've seen him play in France and he was electric, other times, not so.
"I can't see QPR holding out today, I just can't see them getting away with anything here."

Read a lot of the reports now....so there is absolutely no point in even turning up....
Man United are far to good for us. I have rarely seen a match so one-sidedly reported.
they have a team of multimillionaire superstars (each one has at least a page on them in one or other of the papers)..and the only player we have is Clint hill...who got a bus pass when he started at Tranmere (I think that was a free bus-pass not an OAP bus pass...but report does not make it clear) and Rio who is going to be too emotional to play
I am assuming Arry and the lads are at home watching Forest vs Derby, and just sent Clint up to show up so we don't get deducted points for not fielding a team.

There is a lot of disrespect around and we have been discarded from this match even before the kick-off.
I do hope Arry is harnessing this effect. Because although earlier in the week, this was a match I was too worked up about (saving my energys for the home matches and the away matches like WHU, Newcastle and Albion) now I am getting quite worked up about it. It would be really nice, after the slagging off we have had this week, to actually do something...and not surrender like we did at Spurs....so come on u RRRRs

Betty, all that should be music to your ears rather than winding you up. I love it when we're written off. It takes the pressure off completely.

Its a perfect situation to be in actually

Waiting for our match I'm watching Forest v Derby on Bet365 (HT 0-0) and thought I just heard a few chants of OBZ!

All the pressure will be on them & hope we at least make a game of it rather than sitting back like we did at spurs, got to close them down & get in there faces straight from kick off, all these so called experts like Merson & co on soccer Saturday get on my f in nerves & I hope we get a result & shove down there throats.

We just need to keep perspective. We are the underdog. Anything from this game is a bonus (though a huge psychological boost if we do). We need to focus on the home games against Palace, Burnley, WBA etc. That's where survival is found for us.

This is a big pressure game for them. If we can swagger and put them on the back foot in the first 15 we could well pull it off. As for the media (Beth), it was the same in '92. The tv "experts" were shocked and showed it. A repeat, maybe?

Very true, those are the type of games that must count - a result today would be icing on the cake, but every dog has it's day!
