But they are fair in Ayr, genteel in Bellshill, well-bred in Barrhead, and without hate in Hardgate.

I must admit I don't know anything about Fife. Andy Murray's comments when he was a 17-year-old- why are they still held against him? Especially when he was talking about a football rivalry! A friend of mine who is a scouser moved up to Edinburgh a few years ago, and he and his wife will both be voting Yes, so it can't be that bad!Not a myth, a fact. I have been to Scotland many times over the years (including a lovely trip to St Andrews), anti English sentiment is rife in Fife.
A more high profile example was Andy Murray's comment on the World Cup....asked who he wanted to win it, he replied "anyone but England".
The English are the only people in this world you are allowed to openly hate.
I don't.Why would you hope Scotland vote ''yes''? What does it benefit either nation?
Sadly, we completely messed up ''vote no''.

Yes, but if you go to the New Den, you'll hearThe English should never be seen in Aberdeen, and they would be as good as dead in Peterhead. You are treated like a thief if you are English in Leith.
I don't.
There are political differences, though, highlighted by Scottish aversion to the Bedroom Tax.
