I dislike Sunday 4pm kick-offs, so I am delighted to see the club has announced our next home games on a Sunday are at 1:30 for the West Brom, Newcastle and Stoke games and at 2:05 for the Southampton game.
The problem with 4pm sunday kick offs is there isn't enough time to cheer up if we lose before i get even more angry at having to lug my arse to work the next day.
Ronaldinho still only 34 !!?? Seems like he's been in the game forever. Considering him for Spurs IMHO is better than when Arry was allegedly considering Beckham.
The club have announced that Ron Robson has taken over as Non Executive director with immediate effect. Anyone care?
"The club have announced that Ron Robson has taken over as Non Executive director with immediate effect. Anyone care?" Mr Robson will be scrutinising and challenging the executive actions of ENIC. And as he is not an employee of THFC, and is being paid a nominal amount for his work, then on paper there is a high degree of independence from the (executive) board of directors.
"Who hired him and what was the reasoning behind it, RDBD?" No need to be so formal (call me Ron. ) . ENIC hired him. Non-exec directors come and go. Commitments elsewhere being the obvious one. An executive board that is akin to talking to a brick wall is another. Large PLCs are expected to have / take pride in having really good non-exec directors on the board (it being a sign of good corporate governance) .
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/football-funnies-irony-ironies-chelseas-4178925? It was always tempting fate to put Torres in for November!
"It was always tempting fate to put Torres in for November!" Spurs always have a blank picture for one month in their calendar. Labelled "NEW STRIKER" .
http://metro.co.uk/2014/09/08/manch...tio-than-chelsea-and-manchester-city-4860834/ ------- What a ridiculous article.
What the article tells us is that Chelsea and Man City have bought success...which is something we already know.
"What a ridiculous article." Not at all. They have "dimensioned" on one variable (total transfer spend) . Dimension on some other total (revenues, wage bill etc) and you will get a different view.
I agree with King, it's totally ludicrous. It ignores net spend and wages, which are clearly the most important factors. Only an imbecile or somebody wanting to push an agenda could write such a simplistic piece of crap.
