I've started watching 24. I'm 5 episodes in and it's pretty good, I've mentally prepared myself for it being silly at times.

First season is great
After that it becomes silly, by season 4 I couldnt watch anymore.
The highlight of Season 2 was Elisha Cuthberts nipples coming through her tight white vest, and as lovely as they are, its should't really be the highlight of the show.

I watched the new season because Yvonne Strahovski was in it.

Nah you can watch Season 1 as a one off quite easily.
