Lawrence and Scott weren't panic buys though. Just two signings for the academy, although we're very excited about Lawrence. Especially considering he gave you lot the run around on his debut last season.

Besides, I'm not claiming that your signings were panic buys. I don't know (or claim to know) the ins and outs of your deals, hence the thread. I'm here to get your opinion on them. Most of you seem very uptight about it all, can't imagine how this thread could wind anyone up. Chill.

This was probably the case for us. I reckon Hernandez's agent made us aware of Ramirez's situation as many people expected him to move abroad. And Bruce probably found out Newcastle were stupid enough to sell Ben Arfa very late as he didn't set off to here until about 9/10pm!

As many have said, they aren't panic buys and are more similar to what you're claiming your deals were. Players became available late and we snapped them up. The reason you left Powell to that late is because you were rejected by McArthur.

Alright, I asked for total spend rather than net spend which is why your £21.25 figure confused me.

Out net spend is about £11m. We didn't sell anyone.
 
People don't seem to understand his question. He's asking how much we've spent, it's very simple. Interesting Ince is down as free, it should say TBD really.

As previously said the two loan deals came about cause
1) Soton bought a player so therefore Ramirez was surplus
2) Arfa was told he can go so Brucey stepped in pretty quick.

Both these signings for free yippee!
I am over the moon with our signings, all 4 of them. ie 1 more than you on deadline day.

Well they're obviously not good enough for Leicester, who are surely destined for the Premier League title this season.

But it's relative isn't it?

I'd be jealous if you'd signed Cambiasso, Powell and Simpson because they play in positions we were short in.

I don't think Arfa, Ramirez and Hernandez would fit in at Leicester and i'd have been jealous about Diame if we hadn't signed Cambiasso. I imagine you feel the same about the three I've mentioned.

He's a talented footballer indeed, but he's a bellend who picks and chooses when to show up.

I wouldn't want him near our side based totally on his attitude. I would put a lot of money on Nige thinking the same.
