Not looking likely.

I rate Coates going way back to watching him in the u19 World Cup, he might be one that given a run of games does well, we will see. He's great on the ball for a 6fy 6 lad.

Very happy with Alvarez, assuming he's to be played centrally, we'd have a strong midfield of AJ, Catts, Rodwell, Ricky & Giaccherini.

I'm worried we won't score goals though, I' not buying the hype of Wickham from 5 games, I'd have liked us to sign Abel, a player I noticed years ago.

Gus left hours ago but all of the finance staff are at the academy still, so something might happen, we need, ideally, a striker and another CB.
That is one thing I would agree with. Coates is very good with his feet and assured on the ball. The questions are when he's running towards his goal, as it is with most defenders.

How the heck would we fit everyone in?

Rosenior - Dawson - Davies - Robertson
------- Huddlestone - Diame
- Ramirez --- Livermore --- Ben Arfa
------------ Hernandez

Or sticking with the back 3,

------ Chester - Dawson - Davies
Elmo - Huddlestone - Livermore - Robertson
-------------- Ben Arfa
------ Jelavic ------- Hernandez

Either way we'd have some key players missing out.

Aye, he's to prove himself, but I certainly think he could work out well.

I've certainly no problem with the signing, if it works out could be cracking business. Bet a few of you lads didn't fancy Davies when he signed.

To be honest, I'm basing my opinion on him from a handful of Liverpool games.

Aye, it's a 50/50 mate, could go either way but there's potential there, and we are well short of CB cover.

We need a ****ing goalscorer, we'll get a few from midfield but we need a 10-15 striker. It's glaringly obvious.

If we pull all these signing off, I will literally treat myself to a sit down wee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
