Martin Chivers etc: I remember that too, much the same feeling, though we did get Frank Saul in part exchange with the whole deal worth £125K? Frank could score in the FA Cup games but not sure about too many league goals. Still remember Chivers' goal against Man U 3rd round 1964(?) and one from Terry Paine, 2-0 at HT with The Dell really rocking, then Charlton started playing, Best etc giving our right back (Ron Davis?) a torrid time. 2-3 end result. That's the joy of football they say!
I'll bet if MP had gone to, say, Hull, he wouldn't be making such a big deal about having to work with him again. He needs to grow a pair.
Don't see the sense in bashing Rodriguez when he hasn't done anything wrong. If he really enjoyed working with MP, it's not surprising that he'd be interested in moving with him to Spurs. But he hasn't made any noises publicly despite the fact he's been mentioned in rumors. As far as we know he's training hard to recover as quickly as possible and to try and get back on track. Which is really what he should be doing regardless of whether he stays or not. In the meantime, we have acquired cover/possible replacements for his position which is what the club should be doing because we need depth, and we don't know when Rodriguez can return or how well he'll play.
Don't see anyone bashing Jayrod, just people expressing an il opinion that they think he's going to leave fairly soon.
With the exception of one outburst by Morgan (for which he's apologised), neither of them have burned any bridges yet. Perhaps Ron can win them both round. I suggest we take out a contract on their agents though.
Apparently this is the game in which Koeman first noticed Sadio. He scores a decent goal - but check out the third!!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=whMBz6kFC1A
