She literally said that about 3 hours before his loan deal was announced, she probably should have said "As long as they play Champions League football, or pay him a f** ton of cash."

Obviously no CL team thought he was worth it!<whistle>

Maybe he thought the 4 British teams in Europe have no chance of winning it, so I might as well go to the biggest club. Put a serious year in for them, and it could be a permanent deal

Something to do with his wages perhaps...<whistle>

At 300k/week he'll have the highest in the premiership. This is insane but this is what he already earns at Monaco (FFS how to they justify this amount in the piddly french league??) . So not a lot of clubs could have afforded him. Even those playing in the CL....

Something like 10.5m pounds per year in wages was the rumour for Arsenal so at 300k PW for you that's absolutely mental. Essentially paying 13-14m pounds + 6 for a loan, with the option to buy for 45 and THEN to keep paying his wages.
Madness, all for a player coming off a ligament injury. Massive risk but I suppose there's no reward unless you go for it.

He will be a straight up replacement for RVP this season since his injury problems have started up again. Will he be better? Possibly. Good signing for your lot but honestly with your defence in such shambles I don't see how you're going to improve much.

This<ok>
I honestly thought Van Gall would buy a defender or 2 not a forward.

Just outscore the opposition. The old United used to do that. Forget about defence.

Not madness. Just accepting the reality. For United to get the players they have to offer more than the CL clubs. United distorting the football market others? yes but I couldn't give a **** <laugh>

Seriously defence will be sorted. You dont need to worry <whistle>
