Man United News ‏@manunitednews 2h Manchester United to seal £26m double raid for Nigel de Jong and Daley Blind - Daily Star http://bit.ly/1vAUoxr
When did anything Real ever did make sense? They'll probably spend the next few months trying to get him to agree a new contract, then will flog him in Jan if he's still refusing to sign a new one.
From Falcao's agent: "The club with the most money will sign Radamel Falcao, as long as they play Champions League football. We don't know where he will go, we just know he will." Rules you guys out this season I guess. But what a thing for an agent to come out and say, I know most footballers are pretty mercenary these days but ffs, just basically coming out and saying that he will go to whoever will pay him the most, provided they're in the CL. At least it's honest I suppose.
Not that I want him to sign for us, we already have plenty of slow forwards, but this is the guy who went to Monaco so we already know that he's a mercenary and if a club offers him enough then Champions League means cock all to him. He's the kind of player who will end up playing in Qatar while he's still at his peak.
Possibly, would be interesting if two clubs came in, one offering 200k a week and CL football and one offering 250k a week with no CL football.....I think you are right that he would be swayed by the £££, despite what his agent says.
Why in the hell would United go for Falcao. You now have an attacking line consisting of RVP, Rooney, Mata and Di Maria. That would be in the top 10 on the planet. The fact that you have Evans, Blackett, Jones etc at the back surely should indicate this is where LVG's attention should lie in terms of new signings. If he signs Falcao he needs his head testing........
From BBC: Radamel Falcao is teasing us now. He's just followed Manchester United's Ander Herrera on Twitter, AND Manchester City's David Silva.
Know your customer? She literally said that about 3 hours before his loan deal was announced, she probably should have said "As long as they play Champions League football, or pay him a **** ton of cash."
Loan deal for Falcao is being reported, but I also hear that RvP need a knee op, so maybe cover for him?
If it is true that Falcao is coming to United then United have at last decided to fight fire with fire. They have decided to go for every top 20 player who becomes available. If they do decide to spend nearly £300m and get the players they need and want then it will be up to LVG to see how they fit and what system to play. No doubt in any sane rational person's mind that United would have overpaid by at least 30-40% if not more but who f**ing cares? It is the GGs money and before anyone feels sorry for these f**ers they have the means to offset the expenditure. What is after all £300m if you've grabbed an extra £1000m+ and counting? We need to spend more and more...
£6million for the season which actually seems like quite a good deal considering he was being touted for £56million.
That is why when the RS gloated that without CL no top player will ever come to United, they were being deluded as usual. City would have been nowhere near where they are now if that was the case. When Fergie retired, I said United now had NO alternative than to spend and spend big to make up for the money savings that United had to endure. United have the biggest spending power in world football under the FFP rules and it f**ing time they matched Chelsea and City and used some of it...
