So will I if he plays anything like the last time I saw him play-Best that is-1966 Sept versus Tottenham with Jimmy Greaves playing at White Hart Lane. Bobby Charlton and Dennis Law on the Man Un side. Awesome game. But back in 1966 everything was awesome-England had just won the World Cup, London was swinging like a pendulum clock, City had been promoted to Div 2 and Waggy and Co were looking like they were going to take us all the way to the promised land (but in the end flattered to deceive). Had to admit though Man U at the time looked way better than City even with my Rose colored glasses on.
On radio 5 live South American correspondent tim vickery just gave Hernandez a glowing reference and expects him to be a fantastic signing
Harold Needler ran out of money - or didn't see the need for a couple of strong defenders. Brian Clough thought we had the most potent attacking force in the country at the time. Who would doubt him. '66 was a brilliant year.
Probably announced today, as according to Jim White twitter yesterday evening his work permit was issued at 4.58PM, so quite late.
McG Chester. Dawson. Davies Elmo. Huddlestone Quinn. Livermore. Robs Hernandez. Jelavic Not looking too bad (Macca for suspended Chester on Sunday)
I agree - a cameo off the bench is more likely. I think Dawson for Chester will be the only change from last weekend. Hernandez can take Fig's place on the bench, with Sagbo also in contention for a bench seat.
David Burns ‏@bbcburnsy 15m Hull City's Steve Bruce tells @HumbersideSport that Abel Hernandez has got his work permit. Expects deal to be completed by Monday. #hcafc Debate over.
So Bruce said two to come in. One is Hernandez. Which is the other? Van Ginkel, Diame, Cleverley, Salihovic, or Wellbeck?
It was always going to be nip and tuck as to whether all the formalities would be sorted in time for Villa, the 'two week' statement is, I suspect, more to do with the international break than anything else
