Cleverley would certainly be good enough for us and we should be able to compete with the kind of clubs that would be after him as well; the likes of Villa, possibly Southampton, Wet Spam. They might be 'bigger' clubs, but all are going through upheaval or transition, and the Bruce factor (as well as the Warren Joyce factor) may help us out. Him, Livermore, and Huddlestone, with Meyler/Quinn as back up would sort the midfield.
Welbeck would be fantastic but doubt he would he come to little old Hull; even if Man U didn't want him to go to a top 6 rival he would probably head for the next biggest club that wanted him, and that would more likely be Newcastle, Sunderland. Still think the Rhodes deal will come off anyway with Bruce or Boyd going the other way.
