Cracking stat from @sportingintel here:

"Louis Van Gaal started work at #MUFC on 14 July and is already longer-serving than managers at Huddersfield & Palace (situations vacant)."

Now this is how you have a meltdown. Take note lads, this will blow the **** out of ours!

That's the beauty of football: more than any other sport I've followed, there's really no conceivable upper bound on bad management. One day we'll see a chairman start himself in a Champions League game...and two months later, someone else will find a way to do something even more insane.

Palace fans now claiming to be the laughing stock of football.

Unacceptable!

Think it will be some one like March or Redmond. We want to go the who young and English with a feel old heads here and there.

Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous.

Man Utd: De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Blackett; Lingard, Fletcher, Herrera, Young; Mata; Rooney (c), Hernandez
