Not really, we've still had to pay Proschwitz's wages, you don't seriously think Brentford are paying a player over £20k a week?

It is likely that city will be paying about 35% of his wage that he was on here and then he will get so much from Brentford.

Well we seemed to be having a straight forward and positive closed season and avoided the daftness of silly season.

But now we get some exciting times with Long leaving, plenty of money made, big signing replacement to come in and still potentially 2 others like there was before Long went.

Losing Long isn't the end of the world. Losing Chester, Huddlestone, Livermore, Elmohamady or Davies would feel like it.

Yes. They got him for nowt ffs. They should pay his wages.

If what you say is true then we should still have £60k+ a week to play with.

The loan system needs an overhaul.

While I agree that Prozzy should be paying City 8k a week and Brentford 16k, I doubt he is! <laugh>

I'd be disappointed if we are paying any of his wages; that was the whole point of not demanding a fee! I would hope that Brentford are paying him what they are willing to pay on an ongoing basis, and the rest will be in the form of a golden hello/signing on fee when he signs on permanently in 12 months time. Either way they've got themselves a £2.7m striker (uses term loosely) for probably £500k plus one years wages. I'm just guessing, but if we are still contributing the deal should NOT have been done

I suspect that Brentford are paying all his wages.

Given that Big Nick was only signed by Brentord on a 1 year deal with an option for a second would suggest, to me anyway, that we are subsidising his wages for the first year which would have also been the last of his 3 year deal with us.

After that, we have no obligation which would mean that Brentford and Nick would have a decision to make between them.

If Brentford could afford to pay Prozzy £25k a week I doubt they of signed him.

Can't we pay Prozzy off and wash our hands with him?

I would have thought we would have paid prossy off at a reduced rate? If it was a lump sum it wouldn't have been his full entitlement! ( hopefully )

So, in your opinion, calling everyone a w**ker is okay on here is it. Is this forum for adults or kids?
