'Arry didn't manage to save you last time, (1) the players you have got back from loan are players you had last time you were in the Premiership (2), and they couldn't save you then
Plus, even with the most expensive squad in the Championship by a country mile, you stuttered your way into the playoffs, 3) and won the final 1-0 with your only shot on target in the most one-sided playoff final I think I have ever seen.
Your "big signings" and expensive players on ridiculous wages didn't save you last time. 4)

2) Yup, Remy was with us- and he was fantastic. Always gave his all, even when we were all but down. Taarabt's gone on to good things with Milan since then. Player form can change and improve, you know?
3) How's that relevant? You're hoping that we're just somehow cursed to underperform every season?
4) If you can't see the difference between the signings last time and the signings this time, then this discussion hasn't got much legs. I'd be surprised if you could name 4 of the the signings "last time" without checking Wikipedia. By the way, Hull, West Ham, and Newcastle have spent more than us this summer,
Any QPR fans coming here hoping for anything other than a jaundiced view from Leicester, will be disappointed. Let them swallow the media line from the past few seasons & underestimate us- that's fine by me.
Caulker was a Premier League captain at 22 last season- and the Cardiff fans were disappointed to lose him. Likewise their fans think Mutch (22) has bags of talent- as evidenced by the fact he was their top scorer last season (7 goals 5 assists). No one's claiming they're world beaters- but they're good signings for a club the size of QPR. It was attempting to sign "world beaters" last time round which screwed us up.
A fair post on the whole, bet again demonstrating a total lack of knowledge about QPR. There's no circumstance under which Dunne will start alongside Rio. Harry's intending to play a back 3 with Caulker, Rio and Onouha. I originally thought Ferdinand was a terrible signing- but I've now accepted his main purpose was to attract Caulker to the club. Any performances he chips in with this season are a bonus (and a relatively inexpensive one, if reports are to be believed).
Grifter, you just argued my point that they're good for a club like QPR but not world beaters by saying exactly the same think, re-read the posts! I accepted that they are good signings but are bein over hyped by your fans
Fair enough! They're probably being hyped because we're used to signing the likes of Park Ji Sung Keiren Dyer.

This is one of the few articles I've seen assessing the chances of the promoted sides, and it has: Burnley 20th, Leicester 17th, QPR 14th

Grifter ... I've never pretended to have any knowledge about your team (only a little observational thoughts about certain players) ... I was merely expressing a view on possible player combinations ... they are both at your club are they not? ... it may not be Harry's plan to play them together but it is not completely inconceivable that with injuries and/or suspensions the pair might find themselves on the same pitch ...

... first and foremost, it's in the 'Fail' so I would immediately treat it with some scepticism ... secondly it's written by a London based journalist ... what his justification for predicting you guys will finish in 14th (and 3 places clear of us - in light of results last season and the relative strengthening of both sides in the close season to date) is beyond me ... but I'll just bet the same journalist predicted that you would walk the Championship last season and didn't even have us in the promotion picture? ... as you might expect ... I'm expecting him to be as equally 'accurate' about us both this season

I think the signing of Ferdinand will bea complete waste of time. He may play half a season at best, get injured and be more interested in trying to avoid looking and sounding like a complete tool on Match of the Day. They have a speedy replacement in Dunne to step in though so they should be ok.

Caulker + Onouha were both top sprinters prior to going pro, I'm sure they can cover for rio's lack of pace.
Morning boys, it's quiet at work so I thought I'd hop over after seeing you'd been linked with Cambiasso (who could still do a job for any team that finished below Newcastle last year IMO), and I saw this thread
It's going to be tricky this season to pick who'll be going down. You, Burnley and ourselves are obviously up there with the bookies, but I think all three might survive.
West Brom haven't really improved their squad that much (has their record signing got his work permit yet?!)
Villa were close to the drop last season, and haven't really strengthened. I think they're a Benteke injury away from the drop.
West Ham have a manager who isn't popular, despite being a survival specialist. If Sam goes, I won't be surprised if they follow suit.
Southampton have a great youth set up, but they've lost the core of their team to Liverpool, amongst others. Their manager is very good, but unfamiliar with the Premiership, and I think they'll struggle.
Palace haven't massively strengthened (and no, I don't think Cardiff's striker counts as strengthening), despite the Pulis influence, I think they'll go.
Hull have the the Europa League, and not got a huge squad, I think they'll be burnt out by Christmas if they qualify for the league stage.
Swansea have lost some of their best players, and have a very young, inexperienced manager. If they keep Bony, they'll struggle to stay up. If they lose him, they'll be gone too.
So, my picks for relegation, in an overly wordy way, are Swansea (18th)
Hull (19th, although I think they'll turn us over on the 16th) and Palace (20th)

Far to much interest on here about QPR (& Hull for that matter). I don´t give a **** about them, who they sign & what´s happening at their clubs in general. Hence me not being on their boards.
Can´t someone start a thing where those LC, HC & QPR fans can go to have their cyber fights & keep off the main boards ? Now that would be nice.

Not going to lie, QPR do have a squad to rival the top ten. Yet they did also have a pretty similar standard squad last season and finished 4th. It's hard to tell how any of us will do really, although Sean Dyche does seem to be telling anyone that will listen that Burnley have the worst squad and will therefore probably finish bottom.
I can see Burnley finishing bottom tbh, alot of pressure will be on Vokes and Ings to get them enough goals to survive.
If you don't like talking about other teams, then the "Who will go down?" thread probably isn't for you pal.
Think he means opposing fans (including ours) all just saying 'we're better than you' and 'you're going down' without any solid fact and just wumming really. If it's genuine discussion (and I've even seen that side to you in the last couple of day grifter) then it's good to have the inter board discussion/banter
